Give br2 MGs a sprint buff

The br2 MGs dont weigh a lot and dont carry a lot of ammo, they should have their sprint factor increased from the current 50 to 65-75.

idk what you mean by “they don’t weigh a lot” when rifles and SMGs in game weigh about 3-4 kg. MGs most of the time are about 10 kg. Even then BR 2 MGs seem good enough for the BR

Look at this:

MG34 - 13 kg
MG42 100 - 14.4 kg
DP27 - 11.8 kg

ZB26 - 10 kg
Bren Mk1 - 8.33 kg
Madsen - 11 kg

These guns all have 50% sprint factor. Did you check that before commenting?

People cower to lower BRs to avoid fast paced gameplay so good luck on this suggestion

The MG13 would need to be moved to BR3 with 75% sprint speed. It’d be as strong as the BAR with that

counterpoint: you cherry pick your examples

ALL USSR MGs with 50% sprint (8 in total)
DT-29 - 10 kg
DPM - 10 kg
DP 27 -11.8 kg
Madson- 11kg
Chauchat - 10kg
Lewis Gun - 10kg
Belt Fed DP - 9kg
Breda - 10kg

notice how the madsen does not look super out of place here in fact it is the 2nd heaviest

ALL USA MGs with 50% sprint (6 in total)
Chatellerault M24/29 - 9.4kg
Besal - 9.8 kg
Vickers Mk I No.2 - 9.5 kg
Vickers Berthier - 10.4 kg
Bren mk 1 - 8.33 kg
Bren mk 2 - 10 kg

Bren mk 1 is the lightest however ignoring the rest of US BR II is misleading because the Vickers Berthier and the Bren Mk 2 hold the top 3 heaviest for the US

ALL German MGs with 50% sprint (13 in total)
MG 30 - 10 kg
MG 13 with drum - 13 kg
MG 42 Early 10 kg
MG 39 - 14 kg
Berda mod - 10 kg
MG 13 - 13 kg
ZB - 10 kg
MG 34 - 13.6 kg
MG 42 - 13.1 kg
MG 34 Saddle drum - 15.1 kg
MG 15 - 13 kg
MG 42 100 belt - 14.4 kg
MG 81 - 9.1 kg

This is one where I might agree with you if we were only looking at the Tech Tree.

ALL of Japan’s MGs with 50% sprint (2 in total)
Hotchkiss - 9.2 kg
Type 11 - 10.2 kg

average for all of these is 10.92(roughly)
My main issue is that you say “the br2 mgs” meaning ALL BR 2 mgs in which I would completely disagree.

With the only MG I might agree is the Bren Mk 1 being moved up to 65% or 60% but the grand majority of BR II MGs are close enough in weight to be fine with 50% sprint. How is that for not checking?

(this is so overkill lol)

Are you counting ammo? MG42 was lighter than MG34 - or am I wrong?

Lol how long did this take? I wasnt cherry picking btw i was trying to point out the fact that there are machine guns from around 8 to around 15 kilos all having 50% sprint factor, and that the br2 machine guns are, on average, slightly lighter in comparison to the higher tier mgs (which they are as you have just shown). Thats why i wanted to slightly ease on the sprint penalty, maybe i shouldnt have said 65-75 myb 55-65 is better though, i was eyeballing. Also, they all have shitty rof and mostly sharkfin mags so this would push them a bit towards inclusion in peoples loadouts makin this smg heavy meta a bit more diverse. You get me now?

Read my comm above this

Just checked - both were around 12 kg empty- didnt know that.

I always assumed MG34 was much heavier because it was milled unlike MG42, which was made out of stamped metal.

Duplicate post of Make LMGs more usable As well as this post is of a lower effort compared to the original which had more argument and valid point. Thread is now closed
