BR4 doesn’t exist for Japan (since everyone rushes to Hei auto + Ho-ri) so that’s why you are forced to play vs BR5

looks like it’s DF fault for being careless in designing the grind. The players shouldn’t bear the consequences of DF making token BR4 for japan
I’m glad that we don’t have French TT it would be even worse than Japan with tanks that had autoloaders

Then the issue should be about balance when you think one faction is playing significantly better than the other in a specific BR.
Don’t add weird rules and exceptions to issues instead of actually addressing the issues directly.

From what I have been reading for the past year or so, I think DF soft rule for the Allies and Japanese is ridiculous, as far to many times I want to play my level 3 allies and get punked against level 5 Japanese. Sure, my BAR’s are competitive, but the whole reason I choose my level 3 Allies was to play against equal opposition, as if I wanted to play level 5 Japanese, I could have very easily choose my level 5 Allies. My guess is this significantly increases the number of desertions as well.
I know some here don’t mind the challenge of using their BR3 squads being punked up against level 5 Japanese, but I would say the majority do not. Those WHO DO NOT don’t have a choice because of DF BS soft rule, but those who like the challenge do, as they can easily add “ONE” level 5 weapon and they get their challenge. Level 5 is challenging enough on it’s own using level 5 weapons.
Bottom line, we’re pissing in the wind because DF knows people don’t like it, but like your veggies as a child, we’re forced to eat it.

dev decided to add pointless burma campaign that did not solve the shitty matchmaking. at least with manchuria japs gotta fight us and ussr so maybe us can take a breather and get II-IV
My personal opinion (not that DF is going to listen to my opinion) is level 5 should be a level all by itself. I am fine with 3-4 being a BR rating as the weapons between the two are not that much different, and semi auto’s are all actual semi auto’s, not full on auto like level 5.
