Currently no one or very few will play conquest. A slight increasing in XP reward might change that and give others a chance to play invasion as well …

I used to get a fairly even balance of invasion and Conquest games. But here lately it seems that all I get is conquest games and it seems as I will get the same map 2 or 3 times in a row.
There was one run were I got the swamp conquest 4 times in a row … And while I don’t mind playing conquest I also enjoy invasion but dont seem to get them as often as conquest.
Is this because most players desert when given conquest and I have somehow been identified by the matchmaker as someone who will play conquest to the end … win or lose?
If thats what is going on maybe I should start deserting so the matchmaker will balance out the conquest with invasion games.
Or as I said in the OP give a little bit more XP for conquest games as an incentive to play …
I don’t think the mm has anything to do about game mode. From what I’ve experienced so far, it’s completely random.
There’s an upcoming feature that will let players create matchs and tweak game settings, though. It might be the solution for ppl wanting to play invasion only.
Am I the only one who just can’t muster up the effort to care about what game mode I get into? I just click battle and… you know, battle. Repeatedly leaving the queue and rejoining it just seems exhausting and too much effort. I can’t fathom just deserting over and over.
You mean “lone wolf”… conquest mode use the same squads as invasion but requires a different tactic to win. I just like the variety of conquest/assault/invasion. Only invasion would feel redundant to me.
I don’t think an XP increase changes much. If people don’t want to play the mode, the devs need to rethink the mode.
I’m not a big fan of conquest mode, I don’t think it fits well with how the game plays out, but I don’t quit a match if matchmaker throws me into one.
I would rather see a row of capture points in a tug of war mode where you have to capture them sequentially for a bit of attack/defensive style play replace conquest which would probably fit the game better rather than conquest in its current form.

I find the current invasion mode lacking in that way as well. Once a point is caped, it’s over? No way to take it back? I’d love to see a mode, allowing counterattacks, game fluidity. Right now, even if ppl dislike it I only see this in conquest: you can take a point, even fortify it but it’s not over, the enemy can, and will, come back. It’s alot more hectic wich is what people dislike the most about that mode (I think)
Invasion as it is now is pretty braindead: cap points in a line one after the other, and since the defender has no time to build any sort of defense, tactically speaking it’s the same thing over and over again with almost no variable. Being able to more or less go back and forth on the field would be nice. The mode ressembling that the most atm is assault where you can retake 1 of the 2 points.
Assault mode is my favourite, but I don’t know why I only got 1/2 match (join in the mid game) of assault game in last 2 months, out of around 400 games.
Also, in last 2 months, I only got 1 “Colleville Farm” and 1/2 “Ver-Sur-Mer” in conquest mode, all othet conquest game are Swamps and Chateau Du Bosq".
they already did an update a while back that allows you to exit a battle early, and it will be less likely to put you in that map or game mode when starting a match next time.
