Hmm, well that is a logical statement actually.

However to be fair this is only the case because it sucked ass before the buff which is still quite new.

I have also only started using it just a couple of weeks ago.

My personal guess is that more people will actually use it once people try it out, but you are right, the majority probably is still using Beretta.

Also I think you are missing one crucial detail - how I understood it, those Saboteurs are gonna have regular spawns and need to change Uniforms with a dead enemy before even looking like them - which means you can also then logically pick up their weapon aswell.

Also look at that picture of that US Saboteur - is he gonna use a Japanese SMG also while fighting vs Germans? Thats a much bigger problem if that would be the case.

MP40 is obviously the most iconic SMG and would blend in very well - but in my opinion is terrible and not even worth being used in BR2.

Also its not a BR3 gun - so unless they add one of those Steyer late production rapid fire MP40, it would pretty much make the Soviet saboteur the weakest of the four.

If I’m not mistaken, the Japanese saboteur is armed with a BR2 Thompson.

maybe M1A1 will be moved back to BR3 finally (fingers crossed).

Setting aside the supposed advantage of soviet body armour, which I still don’t think is that big, I do not support this idea as;

  1. Most of the time you just see a figure in the distance. If you’re close enough that people are examining your gun you’ve probably got too close. From what we know this class is meant to pick off people discretely.
  2. There’s nothing wrong with the MP35.
  3. This idea creates unnecessary noise when there are bigger problems with the class concept.

bad players wont recognize saboteurs even if soviets had grease gun or garand.
good players will just shoot any solo soldier that is not attacking cap.

i consider myself great player(for enlisted standards) and i am not checking enemy guns… if i am not checking, i dont believe that 99% of playerbase will be checking the guns.

I said that body armor compensates for this weakness so the suggestion shouldn’t be implemented. Pls justify how that’s not on topic.

How is that even relevant… body armor is not related to changing the weapon of a squad class and is you saying “they have X which is good so they don’t need A adjusted”

Area of balance? No… soviets getting a weapon that fits in japan more is not related to body armor and also soviets don’t face body armor? so the damage the weapon gets is irrelevant.
