okay so, i saw this a few times in the years, Gewehr 41 is the current BR 3 german semi auto, the Soviets has the SVT 38, which is in my vision a cheaper version of the SVT 40, the Gewehr 41 has the con of the slow reload which SUCKS, sure you might say ‘‘what about Germany in BR 4?’’ the ZH 29, simple as that, i want to see your thoughs about it.

Listen, me personally, yeah I would love to see it in BR III, but I think it would be too OP. I think that’s why it’s BR IV, but idk because I’ve only played it in BR V, and it was a decent gun.

I just think it should be put in BR3 until BR4 and 5 are seperate. I want to play a G43, but I hate BR5 and I dont want to go up against AVT spam

Me too, but it’s the only way for me to wear an gas mask for at least one of my guys.
No, BR3 tech tree semis should be exclusive to stripper clip reload.
Of course, with exception of carbine like rifles (which Germany already have in BR3, VG 1-5)
There’s no real reason to lower G43 to BR3 other than powercreep

No, what sets apart BR3 and BR4 semi-auto rifles is reload speed.
G43 reloads really fast, significantly faster then other BR3 rifles so dropping G43 to BR3 would be only realistic if we moved all tech tree SA rifles from BR4 to BR3 which would just lead to further powercreeping.
As Adam said, the fair solution is changing SVT-38 to clip reload, giving roughly the same reload time as other BR3 semis and increasing the damage of both G41 and SVT-38 to 15.3 which became the new norm.

I would say no, however, BR5 has made BR4 obsolete, so until the Dev’s come to their senses and ISOLATES BR5 from all other BR levels, then IMOP BR4 weapons need to either be up tiered to BR5, or down tiered to BR3, and the G43 would be more suited at BR3.
Me personally on the G43, I don’t care if, as I play just as much Germany as I play Allies, and it is better then the G41, but IMOP not a game changer.

No, the G43 is a BR IV rifle, it’s just that BR III German rifle options are shit in comparison to everyone else that this is even being considered. Other changes that should be implemented that would be better are:
- Increase damage to 12.7 and decrease reload to ca 4.0 for the G41.
- Make the SVT-38 stripper-clip fed (reload of ca 4.0 too), and increased damage to 12.7, for both normal and sniper variant.
- Increase reload to 3.6 for the Johnson Rifle (it’s no longer BR IV, the nerf is justified).
- Add the MAS-44 for the US as a BR IV rifle (I would suggest something for Japan as well but I don’t have something immedietly on hand).
The G43 is the prime example of a BR IV rifle, we just need to rework the rifle balance of BR III that’s the problem actual here.
Both @Valkay and @Adamnpee are entierly correct on this issue.

Or they could just give the SVT-38 a stripper clip reload, like it has been suggested not only in this thread but in numerous other threads over the years
