It really has no use, it doesn’t help us progress in the game at all and it is disappointing doing my battle tasks and unlocking something that has no value. I don’t wanna grind for a bit just for that.

Disagree, I like the rename ones. I give the gold order infantry ranks, such as captain or 2nd lieutenant. Because you can’t (yet) customise the troops to give them actual ranks.
The appearance ones are also important, there’s one particular face that i cannot stand, it looks somewhat like Goebbels and I just cannot stand it, so remove it once they get to tier 5

I just see no use to actually help me play in the game, I don’t really mind what my character name is or what they look like
This is one of the first attempts to bring cosmetics and appearances in the game and was requested for a very long time.
Personally, I´m fine with having them around.

Renaming and changing appearances should be a default option open to everyone, without the need for orders.

It shouldn’t require orders. As of now they are useless since there’s not enough of them, if callnames were free we could at least rename every soldier with the throwing range perk or do something useful like that.

Gave Callsigns to all my fav Soldiers:
Panther Commandant: J**Slayer
JU-188 Pilot: BomberHans
BF-110: Brrrrrt
Fav Engineer: 1ShotKillWonder (due to Gewehr Kurz)
Also using appearance tickets to make my soldiers look more hardened and less of all the weird ones.
I’m fine with being able to customize and all that but I see no use to why it would take orders, I don’t want to move the option entirely cos obviously some people want that but does it really need to be an order?
Yes that’s what I agree on, but for something cosmetic it shouldn’t really need to be an order
