Gas Attacks

I’m not sure if this exists yet but certain types of attacks might exist if ever the battle area was expanded instead of closing off certain area, logical reasons for closing off those areas might exist for instance some type of equipment or gas could be moved into that area, there is bombardment in that area.

The idea of deployment of gas is something that could be looked into. There are flamethrower units perhaps a unit that deployed gas or artillery option for gas shells etc…

While Gas was not common in WWII in battlefields in Europe it was actually used on occassion during the period, and was available just it was reserved due to the fears of retaliation.

It was suppose to be this link History of chemical warfare - Wikipedia not sure how to edit.

I’ll go with no.

From what it seems, Germans used gas only on the eastern front and in very specific situations (caverns, caves, catacombs).

No thanks dude. If you played BF1 which had gas grenades you will know how much the community hated it.

It is just not something I want to see at all.

Yeah gas isn’t fun, this is why the logistics cost basis of certain weapons would be high.

I didn’t play BF1 I am an old timer who played a little Call of Duty when it came out and played Doom one summer until I beat it. I also played the occassional first person shooter and Special Ops etc…

I personally like realism aspect or atleast period aspect as I am a have a degree in history so the historical aspect is appealing. I encountered this when looking for a modern war sim and tried it out.

I personally don’t want the gas to be a character type deployment and definately not in grenade form that isn’t period accurate.

It would be a logistics cost thing and deployed by artillery or aircraft but it would depend on wind direction for how it deployed, this could also be added to effect long distance sniper shots if applicable.

But no it would not be a common item the rarely use or deployed stuff would have a high logistics cost so would be limited use, at most one per battle and it would be more like an artillery strike.

The benefit of the gas is that it would go low to the ground so it would go into trenches and bunkers and vehicles that were under cover from artillery or aircraft but would be a slower attack.

It might only be deployable during the last half of the battle, and only if numbers are low for objectives ie very high enemy numbers left, or very low attacking number characters left… ie very hard point to take. Or characters are in the outside bounds areas of the battle area.

However if the clearly loosing side uses gas, then it will unlock the clearly winning side to do a counter attack with gas.

Just no dude.

My reason none of that sounds fun for the user or the receiver.

No Gas … lets not devolve into ridiculousness …

Then, like i said:

Because it has been used against troops trapped underground doesn’t mean it should be WW1 all over again in CQC

If you like realism then no, no gas at all in the game.

If you really want a chemical weapon then it should be white phosphorus smoke. Other than that: no
