Gameplay event: Operation "Market Garden"

Event really sucks as Allies.

I think some players are unaware that as Allies you do not have to paradrop (there is a checkbox for this if you look closely), but can actually start on the ground. The upside is that you are not in danger of getting shot at while paradropping to the ground, the downsides are that you start in the back area of the Allied side (like in a normal game) and you do not get a para-supply box for special equipment.

That said paradropping is half the fun IMHO.

…I just wish some of the players would stop capping the points withing 3 minutes (i.e. paradropping right on the bridges) and realize this only ends the game right away, negating the ability to actually make event points for everyone.

All in all I do like the event and it is a step into the right direction, but there is a lot of room for improvement. For example a few ideas: Have the battle not end right away when the Allies have capped the points but include the need to hold the points against couter attacks for X minutes. Or have the Axis forces put down charges to blow up the bridges and have the Allies prevent them from blowing up the bridges (needs a failsafe so the Axix forces can not just blow them up at the start). Use the river crossing map as it looks more like the bridges in the Operation Marketgarden. Or there are 3 bridges on the map for the event → could be random which of the 3 bridges are the objectives).

People want to win. If Allies do not Blitzkrieg the CPs, Germans are able to lock up the CPs and win.

I do get that @CaptainSebekel, but in the event it is actually better to wait with capping and cap at the end so people can make points as the points you make are the important thing in the event (it does not pay better if you cap under 3 minutes).
One can also win without capping actually, if you are able to take out more of the enemy than they are able to kill of your own team. Even if they try to “lock up” the CPs the Allies can push them out, if - for example - they use a mortar team + other players marking areas that need to be taken under fire. I also would not recommend more than 2 players using mortars though as it becomes ineffective.

Dumb idea as Allies, espcially since you already have worse firepower and spawn options.

Which sadly doesn’t work when you also say they should use rallies or if plane gets shot down.

We all know how much Enlisted is known for teamplay.

So yeah, Allies are worse.

sourkraut moving scale fucking too big they build flak right next to downside of map

It might have been lost among the other posts, but I did have a match where the Allies actually did win exactly as I described → killing more of the Axis soldiers than otherway around. And the Allies did win that match despite the fact that the Axis side did have both the points at the end. No offence meant btw. and you are entitled to your opinion, I am just stating that I had such a match and it is possible (was surprised as well).

That most players do not want to work together or are unable/unwilling (?) to mark targets is another problem (one can see right away if a side has people working together or not).

you pay gold but each stage you need to wait 1 day to unlock each stage so you can’t pay through it in 1 day. youll also need to be on each day since you can’t wait till the last day to buy it all in 1 sitting

Did you know that operation “market” and operation “garden” are not the same? Market entailed the paratroopers droping AKA what we got.

Garden on the other hand has was the armored push towards the bridges on the ground.

So if all the bombers where busy supporting operation garden none would be left for supporting the airborn.

Another thing that came to mind watching the AI squadrons fly over in this event

Strafing runs would be a cool radio cool in.

@tommyZZM has done this for years in big action mod with different plane radio call ins.

My favourite is 3 stukas that dive in formation and precision strike

Can you please pass on to the devs to do something about the M1A1 Para? Ask them to make the reload animation unique and add more ammo like other duel magazine SMGs. Or move it down to BR 2 if they aren’t going to change anything.

Funny thing is, the code for that is already in the game in the form of one premium MP40/1 with dual magazine. Possibly other weapons I can’t remember?
When you empty the first mag, you get a short reload animation when you switch to the second, and when you empty the second, a longer animation to swap the dual magazine.
So not doing the obvious with a taped dual magazine is purely their deliberate choice to cut corners on creating the gun by simplifying the reload animation.

Agreed

May developers always live with such people(Selfish, independent, lacking team spirit, having no game ethics, lacking intelligence, emotional intelligence, action ability, thinking ability, learning ability and growth space.
Like to waste resources, like to make excuses to shirk responsibility, like to waste time, like to hurt others, like to hinder others.)

in 10mins only make ammobox for himslef
And, just like the mechanism designed by the developers.
It is hoped that when they attempt to obtain wages, allowances, insurance benefits, pensions, compensation, positions, promotion qualifications, purchase lottery tickets, or obtain limited items/qualifications.
There will always be others who use unconventional methods to obtain content that originally belongs to the developers.
This is what the developers have been presenting to the players in terms of mechanism.
For instance, in this event: The game mechanics created by the developers do not encourage the German army to occupy strategic points, do not encourage the US army to occupy strategic points, and encourage the US army to use at and mortars for road camping at a distance. Encourage German players to choose to withdraw from the game.
Even the developers might not have dug up enough sessions for this event.
