Game mechanic ideas to better specialize your soldiers

Add that each squad to an engineer specialization, ex: an engineer of the anti-tank squad can build in some points of the map guns of a heavy caliber, flak 8.8, russian 90 etc… The infantry team that can build their own trenches, because being a team of 9 soldiers, there are many

I do believe at some point we’ll get heavy anti tank guns,

However on one hand I think it’s cool to give specific Squads specific Engineer capabilities because it adds variety, but on the other hand I’d prefer if the Engineers have all the available toys because I find it almost makes it a little redundant to have regular Engineer squads

engies then should have all verities of sandbag structures, barbed wires etc, maybe some next level rally point, like buildable default spawn but closer than original ones.

there’s plenty of ways to make this well balanced and I’m looking forward for it to be

Agreed. If you have the anti-tank engineer who builds Heavy AT weapons, and a Machine Gun Squad’s engineer who can build the HMG turret… then perhaps the solutions for the Engineer class, would be unique AA constructables, and/or stronger fortifcations in comparisson to other engineer-squad-types. Maybe ever take it as far as sandbag structures that are much larger than the basic one that we currently have.

The developers could really get creative if they implemented this feature.

you’re right
The engineers of the machine gun team can build HMG, this change I think is very successful
At the same time, I am also looking forward to what kind of interesting special fortifications the engineers of other teams can have.

What I’d like is the ability to draw a line and your whole squad (at least, those with shovels) start digging it. It’s extremely tedious and time consuming with one dude and makes it’s useless unless you’re building up the defenses for the next point (assuming you guessed correctly on which it’d be)
