No way to edit an old post so I’m just going to remake it to be more clear since everyone isn’t reading any of the additional posts below it. I do not want anyone thinking I dislike the game or its current setup, simply have feedback to add to the game to improve it for more people.
The game is very good but I think it needs something more in order to draw in people who don’t want to spend hours in the menus setting up every solider and every squad. If there was some kind of system to not just automatically assign the best gear to 1 solider, but to also do it for whole squads and automatically upgrade the soldiers and squads I think you could bring in a lot more players. I think with some kind of system like that with a good UI that explains it well you could increase the player base quite a bit.
THIS IS NOT IN ANYWAY SAYING TO GET RID OF THE IN DEPTH SYSTEM IT HAS NOW. So please, before posting to say you like it and I’m wrong I’m not saying to remove that as it should still be part of the game for those who do enjoy it and maybe even some that will want to do more as they get more into the game.
From my point of view I do think it’s massively time consuming having to level up every squad for every country though no matter if you’re a hardcore player or casual. I think that might hurt the game if people choose to only play one team as they only have that team leveled. For the sake of better balancing I think leveling one country should level all of them equally.
Separate from the time consuming part, I think it’s a bit of a money grab with allowing you to buy so much stuff. It’s very Pay to Win in a way as you can just buy lots of good gear and deck your squads out. I’m not against the devs making money, but personally I would rather pay them directly for the game and then just get added cosmetics or something. Buying any kind of weapons or unlocking things faster to make you more effective is very EA in my opinion and I dislike that.
OVERALL… I do think this game is good even at an early state. The gun play is a lot of fun and even being a bit rough I have not once felt cheated out of a kill or anything like that. Few additions to broaden the player base and I think it’ll do very well.
