it was not just allied air superiority but massive paratrooper casualties early in the war
between the two fg42s the germans could only arm a fraction of the 180 000 german paratroppers much less a tiny fraction of the german army

in fact id like to move the most advanced bar to a sf role if sfs cant be removed

us soldiers regularly shoulder and hip fired the bar unsupported in in a way german japanes, ussr and even uk mgs did not
youre right its not a rifle but a squad lmg is not even a light mg in us there are not interchangeable.
most mgs had quick change barrels and used bipods and tripods the BAR falls into a gray area
So by that metric most of the allied paratroopers also sucked since even they often came by truck since there was no need to fly them in and risk them getting picked off while they are scattered or impaled by trees/drowing in a swamp/lake.
for the love of god make that part of the game you think axis mgs are innacuarte no that make elmer fud a sniper
no the allied paratroopers were put in trucks because given the rate of advance the front line would have over taken landing zones before allied paratrooper feet could touch ground
