Nowadays after months of playing since last spring, the game gets boring to play even when cycling campaigns like sure we get new paths for existing maps and new invasion maps for Moscow(Fortified District and Beloye Lake + Manor assault are great additions for the campaign) while Berlin has yet to get a new invasion map that’s not Koenigsplatz or Kroll Opera House(Moat is a combination of both except Soviets being defenders which tbh is a shit version considering the 2 said maps are great). Berlin still have the Reichstag assault map missing which is a huge missing part of the entire campaign considering how important the fighting inside the Reichstag are to the campaign or fighting outside the city center like Ubahn, Berlin Zoo, Berlin suburbs or even Seelow Heights.
Normandy has yet to get another invasion map other than the branching paths of existing ones and playing Le Bre over and over gets really boring so quick.
As for the guns, USSR in Berlin have almost all the standard issue weapons for them at the time(only IS-2 and most SPGs e.g. SU-76, SU-100, ISU-152, etc are missing) but for other factions on other campaigns, Germans have yet to get a single Tiger in either Normandy or Berlin or the STG 44 which were some of the iconic weapons missing in the game just like PPSh and T-34 in Moscow for the Soviets where Berlin is the only place to actually use these iconic weapons. The Allies in Normandy got their Thompson but not the other variants like the M1928A1 and have yet to see an infantry version of the Browning M1919 when the Germans have MG34 and MG42.
What will be the future for the current campaigns? This is a huge concern for the game especially when we don’t have a roadmap for them other than waiting for Tunisia to go OBT as honestly the direction we are going right now makes players take some time off from the game or quit entirely because we don’t know what we look forward for from this game in the near future.
Another major update is coming soon according to the developers, so we should expect more guns, vehicles, and maps to come soon. They said they’re aiming for at least 40 levels per campaign
Also I’d like to point out that the battlepass was extended by 10 days just as Tunisia came out. So I think that update they are hinting at will come with the new battlepass, along with the new progression system.
This is a problem that every MMO developer has. Some players will consume content at a lot faster pace thany other players. And because some consume content faster they become bored when there is no new content for them.
They incorrectly assume that every player is like them and is getting bored with the game because they are bored. They incorrectly assume that the game is in danger of collapse because their appetite for content is not being met.
But in reality they are just abnormal in there consumption of content and what those players need to do is just go away for a month or two and play another game …
Give the devs more time to create additional content and then they can come back and grind through that in 3 days and once again cry that they are bored and need new content.
Sorry but cant really give any better advice other than play something else for a while … There is no need to be concerned
First of all, this game is far from complete. Also, whatever the game is, from the monotony, burn out or boredom feeling we will not go away, it will always appear because it is human nature.
I would also say the opposite. With as many as four separate campaigns, this is a great deal for a game like this. When everything is still in the production stage, all we have now is just the tip of the iceberg. The possibilities for game developers are limitless, further expanding the arsenal of weapons, experimenting with new interesting squads, new maps and more. Add to all this the possible future campaigns (Pacific ect.), There will always be something to do in this style of game.
Well, of course, being a whale, you can buy everything for real money, unlock everything in 5 minutes. Or those nolife elites who have fun not enjoying the process, but just for pure statistics, or brag rights … It will never satisfy such people and there always will be ones.
