Just in case you didn’t know because I didn’t know until today infantry in War Thunder is going to be the real deal, not just some April Fools’ joke. Some serious leaks suggest Gaijin is preparing for a playtest soon.
This got me thinking, though what does this mean for Enlisted? What does Gaijin plan to do? Some of my friends say the whole purpose of Enlisted was just to test infantry mechanics for War Thunder, and once they’re done, they’ll ditch the game altogether. That really worries me, because Enlisted is a one-of-a-kind game, and I love it.
The whole “abandoning the game” thing feels especially concerning to me since, over the past year, we’ve barely gotten any big content updates. What does the future hold for Enlisted? What are your thoughts?
I hope they go with the average ending 2, because one of the reasons I quit playing War Thunder is fighting vehicles that never faced each other i.e., a King Tiger, a WWII tank, facing post-war tanks like the T-44-100, for example. It really ruins the immersion for me.
That was just an example of what I meant. I haven’t played War Thunder for a long time the T-44-100 was the one that first came to mind. My general complaint is that a tank manufactured in 1938 faces a tank that was made in the 1960s. i.e ww2 tanks facing cold war tanks in general. Thats why i dont like playing war thunder and want enlisted to keep going exclusively for ww2.
I prefer this game because it is strictly WW2. They would have to seriously overhaul Warthunder and firmly split periods for me to even give it a chance, and that’s if there was some sort of merge
WT is more of a random sandbox while this game at least has a strict narrative of the historical setting
I do not want to see M1 Abrahams and M16s in Normandy
I just want to play Enlisted.
I want developers to shift the energy they put into Active Matter back to enlisted. I pre-ordered the most expensive version of Active Matter. Now I hardly have any friends to play it with. And as far as I know, China is developing several games of the same type, and their quality is all very good.
but as adam puts it, if they haven’t closed crossout or star conflict, which have way less players than enlisted, enlisted isn’t closing any time soon.
I prefer enlisted mostly because of the squad mechanic. Not only does it make the game more immersive, it helps balance the game. With certain weapons being able to only be used with certain types of soldiers, it helps prevent everyone from using the most powerful weapons at all times.
