FPS problems

I’ve started experiencing FPS problems and it’s a bit weird. I’ve been playing this game since beta and it’s always ran brilliantly. Recently I have had issues where the FPS has dropped to 10 or less, basically unplayable. The match starts OK, but sometimes (not always) I get this massive slowdown, occasionally it rights itself after about 15 minutes, but not always.

It’s possible it’s down to ‘new’ graphical improvements that for reasons I cannot fathom are just tanking my graphics card. I just wondered if anyone else is having issues? I’ve been looking at my graphics settings and wondering what I can turn down, like Motion blur (I always turn that off).

I’m sure I can get to the bottom of it, but it’s just irritating as I don’t have the technical know how to know what to adjust (whats resource hungry and not really needed).

I’m running a ryzen 7 5700X3D, 32 gig of ddr 4 ram, RTX 3070 GPU

List your system specs.

I made a few tweaks, to be honest I don’t think it’s a game problem because the game is improving and adding new graphical features which can increase immersion, so it’s a system problem because my system is struggling where it wasn’t before. What I am in the process of doing is trying to learn what are the real resource munchers so I can make an objective decision on wheter or not I really need that feature.

I’ve kind of answered my own question in a way, in fact I could delete the thread, but I think it might be useful to leave up, because people might chime in with useful advice.

From AI overview ‘If your system is struggling with gaming performance, turning down specific graphical enhancements can provide a significant FPS boost without ruining the overall visual quality. The most demanding settings to adjust are generally shadows, reflections, volumetrics, and advanced post-processing effects’

this is topic from some 3 months ago…

ever since ray tracing update there is problem with game performance and those fps spikes.

it is game problem. game was made to be played on potato and you have decent spec computer. disable ray tracing if you have it enabled.

Thank you for this advice, for the record, all my ray tracing was already disabled.

I know that I am going to get kick back for this, BUT one thing that fixed an issue I had with video and sound corruption that happened after hour or so on PC, was to change audio setting. Change your format to 24bit 192000 hz. It took care of all issues I had with this happening even on social media reels. I had found that fix on Reddit. Also the new NVidia driver (May 24th) is good to go for Enlisted.

I would turn off any kind of ray tracing and for clouds and shadows keep it at medium or high. Turn off volumetric clouds just keep the high resolution one instead. Your hardware is great for enlisted so it shouldn’t be an issue maybe send screenshots of your settings
