Forum player group update

Excellent playing with the people I have played with. We all have the competitive cooperative gaming trait. Even if we lose it is never because of the group. Everyone I have played with knows how to play and play well. We have had some entertaining battles for sure.

So, if you have not joined in on the fun please feel welcome.

Here is a list of the people I have played with so far.

Gator66
Conscript_joe
JuanNumber_1
LBE_FG 42

Each of those people know how to play the correct way. There are a few more but the names do not match their forum accounts.

We do not use discord (Keep it simple)

Build rally points

If I add you and I do not know all your BR’s we start with Japan 5. Because Japan is a skills nation and if you are not 5 the team is a good starting point to getting there.

Normally we play USSR 3/5 US 5 GERMANY 2/5 Japan 5 “Join any battle” That is not set in stone I just like a non sweaty BR2 match now and again.

Everyone is welcome no one is in charge. The expectation is “fun” but with skill and competent play. Being clever, being resourceful, being a nuisance to the other team all great things!

3 of us have an email thread with basic ideas for different “actions” using the first letter of item.

(M) ortars
(P) ara
(GO) Attack
(STOP) wait
(L) (C) (R) Left, Center Right (F) front (B) Back Gator uses true reckoning but I to lazy to figure out N S E W. I go back attack direction

We tend to try and group up on each other in battle if possible. Sometimes it works sometimes it does not. It brings a tear to my eye seeing everyone arrive on point from all different directions above, below, sideways, out of the toilet even. It is those rare moments of shit going like clockwork without having to tell anyone anything.

Skilled players are appreciated but everyone at any rank or experience is welcome as long as you give it your best try.

See you in game!

It was us playing Russia and we all showed up at once with perfect timing even though it was not planned. Everyone cleared a little pocket of defense wiping them out. Very A-Team like.

It was killing me getting kicked by server when 4 playing. Hope that was just a one time glitch … more important … why just me? I have a killer fiber connection. I run more than capable PC.

I wonder if it is total player counts with groups. It is very rare that I play with 4 people. But it makes it a lot more fun with that many people. You can always count on someone doing something useful. I can’t wait until we get everyone on the same page for paras and mortars.

I wish devs would put another mortar squad with Germany (ref Russian tech tree) pain in the butt to swap out all the PW’s for BR change.

I reference the enemy direction red arrow on the map. The big red arrow is north for me

I was old school military in the 80s & 90s finding points with compass and paper map

This gives me an idea, stolen from the april fool’s event. There should be a whistle command that works in proximity, to signal to other nearby players you’re about to rush the cap. Better than “attack zone” spammed endlessly. Could only work when you’re within x distance of the cap, and only heard by nearby players. As it is now 90% of the time people park their squad nearby and then faff-about on the edge of the cap watching it tick away, and no amount of “attack zone” spam seems to move anyone.

Heroes and Generals use to have a whistle its very useful. Problem is this game people would spam it.

Give it a cooldown, and it only works within x meters from the point. Chances are if you’re camped that close to the point you’ll only get the chance to use it once before you either cap the zone or get wiped.
