Forum has been downgraded. upgrade it again. ( reintroduce some features )

what in the actual hell.

we used to have custom background features, flags next to names, embed links, view flagged comments, make polls

but now, we’re somehow retrograding and losing every year some features, without actually gaining any meaningful new ones.

so, the suggestion is simple:

let people see flagged comments

i don’t care if some soft skin is unable to handle the truth or is prolly one of the most unhinged / illogical rant.

even if it doesn’t affect me, no one should be silenced on a goddamn forum.

what’s the point if people can target individuals and never see them answering or say anything?. it’s just ridiculous at this point. what would be the point of a forum then?

what happened to the messages, yellow flashy text with actual links behind?

reintroduce polls

there is no reason why those were removed in the first place

and last, but to be honest, actually the least;

  • reintroduce flags next to the nicknames and background profiles.

just because some bad elements abused it, doesn’t mean that it should be taken away for everyone.

and that’s about it.

I couldn´t retrace the topic, but according to the helpers, the forum isn´t developed by DF and thus they can´t change things.

because we have the same forum type as halo.

and they do have those features.

I was researching some things on discourse app, and what I got was

If you edit a comment that has been hidden, it will automatically reappear

and about the development of the forum, Discourse app has 2 distribution options

By update, how we work (discourse make the change who they want)
and the other way is programming based on discourse code

I’d love to not be randomly silenced here and there. However, whoever the frick creates this stupid forum, Discourse or whatever according to mods, seem to think that cancel culture is superior and that we should have no options or opinions on anything

i would guess they updated the forum to new version and all of the old options need to be enabled manually cause probably in new version they are disabled by default. wouldnt be the first time such features were implemented.
