A bit of a twofer, but there’s a lot of legacy vehicle squads that are now stuck using one vehicle and one vehicle only, it’d be nice to have the ability to use other tanks in those squads since you can only fit so many tanks in the tanker 1-2-3 squads.

Well the ability to cycle multiple vehicles of the same type was indeed stolen from us.
Well not from me - I own all German legacy squads and such can bring:
3x Panzer III J to BR1
1x Panzer III N (Stalingrad), Panzer IV F1, Panzer III M to BR2
3x Panzer IV J/H, 2x Panzer III N to BR3
3x Panther, 1x Tiger H1 to BR4
1x Tiger II H, 1x Tiger II P, 2x Jagdpanther to BR5
While you needed to pay for the extra squad slots and couple of prem vehicles, bringing 3 separate meta vehicles to each Campaign/BR was totally normal. New players simply wont get this ability.
You don’t need to bring back legacy squads just to unlock this ability (it wouldn’t be balanced between factions anyway), just allow vehicles to be used by any squad of its class.

No, I was specifically mentioning free guns, such as the Thompson 21/28 the soviets had, the M93 Mannlicher and the Breda for the Soviets.
From what I heard others say, they were free unlocks. Unless I’m mistaken.
Some of them were, but some of them were locked behind full access.
That’s not the point. Because they were later put into exclusivity, mainly as compensation for Stalingrad full access owners. (But few people who grinded Stalingrad as f2p could keep few of them as well. So they did not steal the weapons from people who already owned them)
Because all weapons you have mentioned were in Stalingrad campaign.

It’s the same as if you wanted to put a early backer premium squads back on sale. And thus steal their exclusivity. Totally disrespecting these players.

You literally just made that number up. It’s far more likely that most postmerge casuals don’t even know that such weapons were ever in the game.
And casuals are the biggest part of the playerbase.

Randomness will not solve the issue for people wanting to own full Italian or Commonwealth lineups, they need to be directly earnable!
Anything but vehicles squads. I’d love having sets of Riflemen, Assaulters, Machine Gunners armed for the according BR, instead of applying weapons to individual soldiers when I change the BR I want to play. I’d love to have more Mortar and Flame Trooper squads too.
But vehicles? Hell no, we don’t need more players who are non-stop rotating tanks or planes.
