Flamethrowers still need a Buff

Or the ability to force bots to use certain weapons

To clear a building, you would need to kill the occupants inside, also the germans fielded flamethrowers in ww1 as a way to kill and discourage the allies

No, you clear the building and if there are enemies inside they could die, they could jump out of a window, charge out of the door as a human torch. Whatever the outcome is. The intention that the flamethrower is created is clearing bunkers/buildings/foliage etc. So you shoot the flamethrower at a bunker and its out of the fight calculations. Whatever happends to the people inside is either clear and you shoot them when they run out or they stay inside and the flames do the work for you. The kills that you get are the collateral.
So thats why I said

You use a gun as a murder weapon, its made to be aimed and fired at another human being to kill him.

This is what I have been waiting on. It is my next unlock and have always thought the flame troops were kinda meh. I figured the late game counterpart would probably be way better

Aye same indeed. I never leveled the 1st flamer squad past lvl 5, felt it was really bad.
When I got flamer squad 2 it took me a few games to get it but they are a standard squad for me now. The flame jet has double the range. If you stand inside a objective you can reach all openings of all objectives, even church, with ease and put flame down so people can not enter, makes for easy capping.

T1 flamethrowers need a buff bad. They should get at least the same ‘jet damage’ as the T2 flames and at least 24m of range. The T1 flames are as good as molotovs.

While the other starter weapons are still comparable to late game weapons the starter flame is a pile of garbage compared to the late game flame.

I’d argue T1 flamethrowers are even worse than molotovs, did the 4th task entirely using T1 and wanted to hang myself. In all except two of my kills a knife or molotov would have netted more kills

Being someone who has the flame trooper class at lv 25 I’ll just say It’s shit. For area denial, people walk through the flame-like super soldiers and the damage sucks like a pistol can 2 tap you before you kill the guy. I still don’t have the tier 2 flamethrower being lv 19 for Axis and 23 for allies.

So do you or do you not have T2 flamethrower

Sadly I only have the first flamethrower which is absolute crap I was able to finish the challenge in 6 games though

the flame thrower distance is not a problem and is very close to real life distance. the developers need to add splash damage/heat damage to the flame thrower so even if the enemy is not directly set a fire that they receive damage, which would increase distance for it. another big problem is the time it takes to set someone on fire with it, currently it takes far too long and a quick burst should in reality work to kill or seriously injure . lastly enemy that are on fire should not be able to do anything but move when on fire,but they could make a perk for the pacific campaign for Japanese that allow shooting while on fire.
