Fixing The Spitfire Family 🇨🇦

Since the devs decided to give a BR V plane in BR II here how to fix this mess we give the current spitfire LF bomb 250 lb to the VB and the LF gets 1 bomb from the P-47 ground attacker plane 500 lb.

Very easy solution fixing the current imbalance and putting the spitfire on its right BR. (to be honest its got to be BR V since its better then the Ki-84 but I hope one day they put more propellers to BR IV.)

This will balance the spitfires a bit and even then the Spitfire MK Vb/trop will be still the best BR II fighter.

@Myrm1don What do you think will this be a good solution ?

Its hards to say. Im dont see any rhyme or reason to how stuff is getting BR balanced in the air tree.

Sometimes its payload, sometimes its performance, sometimes its how easy it to use…And sometimes the reason used applies for one faction but not another.

IMO its a mess…My guess is the ones that make the decisions havent had any experience “ingame” with these machines (warthunder or enlisted), and just pick one attribute at a time that looks like another in the tech tree.

“Spitfire MK IV? looks roughly the same as the other two spitfires at BR 2. The bomb is small so. BR 2 it is!”

If thats how they are doing it “maybe” I could understand how they arrived at that decision… But even thats not conistant because all the unarmed fighters at BR 4 could be BR 1/2

Well I think at BR IV will be good since now a lot of UK stuff is BR IV and this plane have the stats of Ki-84 slightly better so it will fit nicely at that BR if it has bigger bomb. But yes a lot of planes need rebalance but for sure LF Mk IX is a waste without a big bomb and on a higher BR and we have a BR II spitfire that can get the small bomb.

I Think the spitfire MK IX is everything a great fighter should be. Its there primariliy to dismantle enemy Fighters and Attackers which it excels at. And at least has a bomb to give it some contribution to the ground game without being overwhelming and favoured as a primary CAS plane

Right now I think BR IV is a good spot for the Spitfire MK IX. But I would do a whole remake of the entire tree.

for instance planes like the Mustang are “at least” BR IV planes aswell…

Maybe we should write up a full rework with planes against their more compatible counterparts and see what it looks like

The Mustang is good at BR III just Germany needs 250 kg bomb on BF 109 F-4/Trop and Ki-61-Otsu Kai can be moved to BR III and it will be more balanced and the Fiat G 55 can go lower BR and some more BR IV and BR V GE planes can get better bombs.

Theres alot to do. When I suggest stuff my aim is for a BR ±0 Scenario.

I would love distingish the BRs a little better. General Idea

BR 1: Gladiator/ CR 42/ I-153 (Bi plane, REALLY early mono planes)
BR 2: Hurricane/Wildcat, 109 E/F1/2, Yak and Lagg

etc etc… need to have a proper look

Well I dont think we need mono planes xD I mean many BR I planes are fine. I mean majority of monoplanes are very bad. Only the USSR has good ones maybe that CR 42 will be nice but its made of paper

That can be good Axis BR I plane.

theres some seriously fun early monoplanes :stuck_out_tongue:

The problem is many lack payloads which makes them very bad. I wonder can we get Hornet Mk.I at some point so I can have full UK experience im very close to full UK build xD

yeah I wouldnt be picking those. The one above for example is a turn fighter with only 1 cannon…but reeeeealy strong APHE (for a 20mm) and a decent amount of ammo… works really well on low BR tanks and planes

depends on the tank Pz. III E 75/32 M41 ,A13 MK II ,M5A1 have solid armor top armor but Japan and USSR are paper xD
