Fixing Matchmaking

I Believe that the Matchmaking should be fixed, because its unfair. Why?
Because i just played a match in the Normandy campaign where we lost. Yes that is normal but what isnt normal is that we were playing against possibly multiple people that were campaign lvl 22 and higher compared to our team which mostly only had people with campaign lvl 14 and under (myself included) which meant that I (maybe also other people) didnt have any fun playing whatsoever, as one person completely dominated the game with his panther, rockets and 250kg Bombs which isnt very fair when you cant really do much about it because of the equipement that we didnt have.

I believe that you (Gaijin) can fix this by implementing something like you have in war thunder where you play against people that have almost the same campaign lvl (BR in warthunder) as you. And when you are in a party people with a higher campaign lvl than you can change their squads to fit the campaign lvl (when you are the party leader) or you just play with people that have a higher campaign lvl than you (when you arent the party leader)

For example: you want to play with your friends but both of them have a higher campaign lvl than you then you could either choose that you just play against players with a higher campaign lvl or your friends could (if they are nice) adjust their squads to fit your campaign lvl. Which would be just like in war thunder when your party member has vehicles with a higher BR that he can just change his vehicles to exchange them with vehicles that have a lower BR

(I hope it doesnt sound too complicated to understand)

I get top 1st often in Normandy since I started it 3-4 days ago. Any side. I rock bolt actions, and my campaigns lvls for both sides don’t surpass lvl 10

MM will not help you. Have I met big mean panthers? Sure. What did I do? I sent pvt. Pyle with a bundle of dinamite. My lil 1 star soldier got rid of a mean lvl 31 tank.

On the contrary I find it extremely fun to meet enemies with very varied equipment, knowing that no matter what, a single bolt action round is enough to take them down. Also found out that Normandy players are way, WAY more on the “easy” side of the spectrum than the crazies from Moscow.

What I’m trying to explain here is that campaign lvls, and squad lvls etc. Are completely irrelevant. If a player is good, he’s good, at any lvl. Or it could be someone like me, starting a new campaign from scratch but having mastered all the others. Imagine if such players were to meet ONLY enemies of his own lvl? He would massacre them it would not even be funny.

Also… life if life. Can’t win them all.

I LOVE when they do that! When they do they completely disregard infantry… wich is their fatal mistake everytime :grinning:

But speaking of tanks… I have more fun with the Puma or the Rhino than I have with heavier variants from other campaigns. Most nimble things I’ve met to date. I will probably keep those in my lineup even in last lvls… Oh, another reason why a mm about squad lvls would be worthless.

stuart / rhino, quietly resist a phanter that shoots at them without problem :+1:, the puma instead is gold eliminates every american tank

Probably true. I’d feel safer attempting to take down a jumbo in a puma than in a bigger/slower tank. I’ve tested many tanks (mostly premiums) in practice to try an take it down frontaly and… yeah. Even the “AiM aT ThE mG PoRt” doesn’t work very well (I now realize those individuals must have been trolls or usa mains defending that unbalanced tank) So I’ll… flank it!!!
I’ll do the same vs panther, but I’m weary of it’s fast turret traverse, even when it’s tracks are destroyed.

mg port only works if there are only 3 people inside

That’s IF the shell even manage to get through. Looks more like a gamble of desperation than a viable option to take it out. I still prefer bombs and dinamite though

Sure there are bad people with high end equipment because eventually you will grind to the end no matter what especially if you buy premium. But when you have good player with high end equipment they can easily dominate the map. Since they have means of destroy entire squads easily. I recently unlocked G43 with 30 mag and full auto and it can take whole enemy squad in no time. I also grind Tunisia and so far I have only bolt-action rifles. Yes you can kill better equipped player with it but if whole squad is rushing your way, than you can shoot maybe 2-3 guys before they swarm you. I have blown many jumbos how just let themself get killed easily and others that were impossible to TNT because they simply didn’t let you get close enough.

It sometimes can catch fire this way, I burnt several of them but also died in PzIV trying that if flanking was not possible.

There’s always a way to make do. I personally don’t mind facing full auto guys with my riflemen. If they storm right at my door, it’s either I failed to take them out from afar, or that I didn’t position myself correctly… Both I deserve to die to them.

At least it’s exciting. A MM would make the game boring where everyone you face would have mirror of what you have. Woukd also look silly.

get a grenade pouch and load up smoke grenades lol

You laugh, but it’s actually a very viable option!

I’ve known crafty guys who gave one smoke grenade to each of their 9 soldiers in their riflemen squad. They went near point, smoke, switch soldier, smoke, switch soldier, smoke…
Looked like a real smoke barrage. It’s very effective!
