It appears that all the MG’s on all the vehicles take much longer to overheat in practice mode than in public/custom modes.
Changing the overheat values found in public games to the practice mode values would make using vehicles a more enjoyable experience.
Some examples : The test implies continous fire without pause.
7.92 mm MG 34 machine gun (Used by most German tanks including the Tiger2H)
Practice values : 117 bullets fired until overheat ( out of 150 )
Custom/public values : 72 bullets fired until overheat ( out of 150 )
7.62 mm DT machine gun (Used by most Soviet tanks including the IS2)
Practice values : 63 bullets fired without overheat ( out of 63 )
Custom/public values : 55 bullets fired until overheat ( out of 63 )
This arguably affects the Soviet tanks the most, because of the small belt.
7.62 mm M1919A4 (Used by most US tanks, including the M4A3-105)
Practice values : 111 bullets fired until overheat ( out of 250 )
Custom/public values : 69 bullets fired until overheat ( out of 250 )
This inconsistency not only effects tanks, but APC’s as well, such as :
12.7 mm M2HB - Used by the premium Soviet APC
Practice values : 173 bullets fired until overheat ( out of 200 )
Custom/public values : 91 bullets fired until overheat ( out of 200 )
And of course, the overheat issue is present for the latest premium bundle
The Kugelblitz :
Practice values : 25 rounds fired until overheat ( out of 100 )
Custom/public values : 21 rounds fired until overheat ( out of 100 )
The Skink ( which already lives in Kugelblitz’s shadow)
Practice values : 30 rounds fired without overheat ( out of 30 )
Custom/public values : 25 rounds fired until overheat ( out of 30)
Keep in mind that all the vehicles with an MG face this issue, I just chose a select few to mention.
Why are these values important ? Because in the heat of battle you can’t always pace your MG perfectly. The practice values allow for more panic bursts until you are punished, because the MG will cool down faster between the bursts.
TLDR: In custom games all MG’s take way longer to overheat than in custom/public modes and the practice values should be the values in public games as well.
