Well, it for sure needs some tweaking / fixing, but what we got few days ago was going from one extreme to the other. It will definitely be changed in some (I think near) future.
Dev getting some PTSD from the last time they change something about rally :v so they’re taking their time now. More carefully.
If your team have multiple engineer instead herd of lemming engineer can easily plant their rally point around enemy objective and capture it.
But if your team keep running straight toward from spawn for objective it doesn’t matter how far enemy rally point is. And you can always flank that rally point and take it out.

Throw grenades at it? Push it and kill it?
If you can throw a grenade from spawn to cap point, its slightly too near.
