Remember the “wonderful” days when the PPPSh-41 (Box) had a 0.21 spread—less than assault rifles and automatic rifles? After a long time, we all worked together to bring its spread in line with other submachine guns.
At the same time, the developers changed the spread of the Orita M1941, which also had a 0.21 spread. This clearly demonstrated that they considered 0.21 spread unacceptable for a submachine gun.
But the developers forgot about another weapon with a 0.21 spread: the M1921AC Thompson. It’s available in the TT, as a unique “Prohibition” version, and in the NKVD USSR event squad.
Clearly, no submachine gun, especially with a bullet velocity of 265, can have such a spread as submachine guns.
Its perfectly fine for thompsons to have good dispersions with that horrible velocity ( i really dont care if its an error or not just keep it that way lol) why not just ask to lower the dispersion of the other smgs instead of making that tommy literally dogshit
This. Dont care if all BR5 smg’s had that dispersion.
These are hardly comparable.
The stick ppsh was literally comparable to BR5 assault rifle at BR3.
Orita is premium so not exactly common as TT guns but what ever.
Tommy is BR5 gun, and still with its dispersion its not even close to meta weapon in BR5.
And? That is how the TT works anyways if you go for best guns.
No one uses the M1 Thompson and M1921/28 rn anyways. If they want people to use them more, they can either buff them or put the M1 Thompson in BR3 since its worse than the M1928A1 anyways, maybe include the M1921/28.
The reason PPSh stick was nerfed was the fact it really was comparable to BR5 guns at BR3.
Which was a massive balance issue and had nothing to do with realism or logic, which neither really exists in the game anyway.
The Thompsons velocity is 85 lower than that of Japanese submachine guns, and this is compensated for by its very high damage.
The Japanese submachine gun’s velocity is 100 lower than that of Soviet submachine guns, and this is compensated for by… nothing
