Picked up an FG-42 II after being steamrolled by Germutts in Berlin. Immediately after picking it up, I wiped out somewhere between 7-12 people with the remaining ammo (wasn’t much of it left). German mains need to PTFO because they do have some of the EASIEST weapons to stomp people with. Sure the PPD/PPSH are lighting fast guns for close quarters and Germany will probably get a Suomi-KP31 in the future, but this REALLY is a playerbase/skill issue when it comes to the lack of German mains.
The devs fucked up by making German mains grind for some of the same weapons over and over again. I’m starting to think that Tunisia should’ve been exclusively British vs Italians because of boring campaign unlocks.
God damn. I really just wanna be able to hop over to the German side and unlock stuff without the perpetual cock and ball torture that ensues.

I don’t even want the FG-42 as a Trooper weapon because it’s just gonna be easy mode from there on out after I unlock it in Berlin/Normandy. The fact that it’s excluded from the semi-auto nerf is kind of retarded. The devs should either nerf the rate of fire for select-fire rifles or just class lock them to Assaulters imo. It would hopefully curb some of the daily complaints about FG-42 users.

the first fg42 is not superior to the AVT so I don’t understand the complaints if we talk about the second I can understand

I can’t speak for the AVT because I don’t have that Premium squad. Unless you’re talking about the AVS-36 instead?

AVT-40 is a level 29 unlock in Berlin, AKT is the premuim one in Moscow.

Counterpart for the FG I is the AVS which has spastic recoil on it
Counterpart for the FG II is the AVT which has a bit more bounce than the FG II but is otherwise a fantastic gun

That makes much more sense, totally forgot the AVT-40 was added as a regular gun. I do stand by my other statements though. Locking select-fire rifles to Assaulter would help clean up shit gameplay meta.
