Have you considered a Finlandia campaign for the game?
Probably not a great idea, as, well, soviets again with the same stuff, again.
Would be more of a bot farmfest than Berlin.
+1 campaign worth of playing
Would be nice maps I bet
No more soviets for at least 3 campaigns, give me the french, the japanese and the chinese first.
Would it be nice? Sure, but I believe itâs best for Enlisted to have other campaigns in a different theater. 3/5 of the entire content of Enlisted is the Eastern Front itself. I personally think it would have been better to properly add in more maps and content with the 4 other campaigns but I think Stalingrad needs that more since it only has 3 maps really.
Stalingrad doesnât even need to exist.
-the poor
Im sure some if not all players would play finns me as well
I think Gaijin tried to make an âinbetweenâ with Moscow and Berlin. Honestly I think for it being shit might have been better done earlier then later after all the added unique campaigns. But still I really think they should have done more maps then just⌠a poorly done 3 maps with some poorly done progression.
More like the âIâm not paying half a AAA title for recycled assetsâ
Yeah. Nothing new, just recycled assets. Itâs what makes me not wanna buy it and what caused the balance issues in the first place. The axis were the only ones to get semi-unique guns, so the russians suffered.
If they ever add smaller battles/wars in Enlisted where at least one side has units that were already in a bigger campaign maybe it could be made so that if for example a Red army engineer squad fought both in Moscow and in Winter war you could unlock it on both of the campaigns by unlocking it on one of the campaigns.
But if for example you just started playing on Red army on this hypothetical Winter war campaign and you got the squad from the 5th campaign level unlocked because you already got it on Moscow, you would have the ability to equip and play as that squad as you normally would but you would still need to unlock the campaign levels from 2 to 4 before you could progress to the 6th level.
Virtually no one would play the Russians for the 4th time.
Itâd be Stalingrad on steroids.
Shame because Iâd like to see the Finns.
here how it would end up
-Winter war campaign released
-the axis get new stuff while the soviets basically get battle of moscow gears
-new campaign is another bot farming campaign for the finnâs
-soviet mains rants in the forum again
There is no problem with things like a finland campaign. IMO the structure of campaigns must change before. Make the campaigns more âglobalâ in order to avoid a further split of a playerbase.
Thatâs the best part about it. Eastern Front has long been neglected or straight up ignored by WW2 media, despite being by far the most decisive part of the war. 3/5 is still an understatement.
75-80% of German forces lost on the Eastern Front, Italians sent more men to the Eastern Front than to North Africa, German Afrika Korps ~40k men in 1941, Axis Eastern Front forces ~4.5 milion in 1941.
Yet what we see in movies and games? D-Day, D-Day, oh Iwo Jima, D-Day, Bulge, D-Day.
OP, Winter War is Moscow Soviet gear, snowy maps and either recycled German or inferior Finnish stuff like Renault FT.
A Karelia map added to Moscow campaign (renamed to Barbarossa) would be cool though.
Not sure about the renault, but the vickers 6ton would probably do just fine against t-26.
BT / T28 idk.
But I guess the L-39 would do just fine against the armors soviets have.
Iirc the Finns had tonnes of trouble with tanks: they had ordered the 6-tons but with different armament, and when the war started they ended up with 6-ton chassis but barely any complete tanks.
Let alone BT, T-28, T-35 or SMK equivalents.
The airforce was also literally nonexistent. I think it would be really difficult to balance the two factions in a game since factors like officer corps purges and southern Russians sent to far north canât be emulated.
On the other hand, Rising Storm has a Winter War mod, might be infantry only, but would be intersting to see what they did there for balance.
fair share of them if not all were actually ordered without guns to save money. As well as radios etc etc.
But guns were fitted to them in finland 45mm if I recall.
There was actually 1 tank battle during winter war and winter it self was the one that caused most casualties to tanks, rest were taken out by soviets.
Totalling 6 lost vickers, how ever soviets lost 3 tanks against vickers idk which tanks as t-26 & t-28âs were presented.
Well its a game, list of available aircrafts is fairly long
Regardless there werent many of them.
Well they didnt. AT guns are the counter against t-26âs
