Control the squads like in COH or MOW?
But what kind of AI squad should it spawn? Same as players’ or separate? May be researchable?
That’s gonna change the game mechanic though.
I was split between:
- some default AI squads we already have (kind of boring)
- let player choose to spawn/upgrade like in a regular RTS (imo the best option)
Problem is:- those squads will die in 10s so there is no point in upgrades unless they are pernament
- this would require some kind of economy/points to buy squads&upgrades
- use squads from the ineup of the player. May be kind of broken though.
Question is: how much resources are devs (theoretically) willing to spend on this.
This cant work, an ipotetical rts system require M&K and the same game version is released on console currently, this system can become a breaking point between console and pc version
That’s why Age of Empires are already on consoles, lol.
And age of empire dont force you use a controller on the game you can use M&K
But you can still use controllers, still playable. So this really isn’t proper reason.
Oh well go play it if you can manage the whole shit in multiplayer and high level singleplayer with the controller

They dont focus where the enemy are, where to focus a fire, even dont reload at proper moment.
One more. The pathfinding system is literally garbage.
If anyone remembers the Titan event and how we got kill players to get a certain amount of points so you can use the Titan Maybe you can use that for the field commander to get special squads
That’s because you are not markings their positions.
As you know bot’s focusing problem is regardless of users marking;;
Bot dont focus anymore wen they are under fire and works properly only if you set them defending a random spot

We urgently need the field commander profession. Players apply to become commanders - English speaking section / Suggestions - Enlisted
Commander could also call in other abilities.
Like maybe AA guns behind the lines to put some pressure on enemy planes
AI fighter planes
Strafing runs
Bombing runs
Rocket/Artillery strikes
Precision strikes
Airdrops (Medical/ammo/supply)
And probably a lot more.
so you want to introduce even more bugs into the game…
So you have no faith in the devs, that they could implement something, with out making new bugs?
considering that i regularly see “fixed” bugs reappearing in game… no.
