History
The Fiat-Ansaldo M11/39 was an Italian medium tank developed in the late 1930s as part of Italy’s effort to modernize its armored forces. Designed as a transitional vehicle between light tanks and true mediums, it featured a 37 mm Vickers-Terni L/40 gun mounted in the hull and twin 8 mm Breda machine guns in a small turret — a configuration reminiscent of early interwar designs. Intended for mobile infantry support rather than tank-versus-tank combat, the M11/39 was powered by a diesel engine and carried relatively light armor, up to 30 mm thick. Production began in 1939, with only about 100 units built before the design was superseded by the more capable M13/40.

The M11/39 saw its main service in North Africa with the Italian 4th and 5th Tank Battalions during 1940–41. In the early stages of the campaign, it was deployed against British and Commonwealth forces in Egypt and Libya but proved largely ineffective due to its limited gun traverse, thin armor, and mechanical unreliability in desert conditions. Most were destroyed or captured during Operation Compass, with several captured examples used by Australian forces against their former owners. Despite its shortcomings, the M11/39 provided valuable experience for Italian engineers and crews, paving the way for the more advanced M13/40 and later Italian medium tank designs.

looks like an interesting steam starter pack to me

Btw the APHE is actually really bad in this, so i think it would be more of a Starter tank. Like with the AB41 at the beginning of the TT in a folder.

I think there needs to be a “Yes, but I’m not as what” option here.
