Development of the Camionetta Cingolate began by copying the example laid down by the British. The British design for a machine-gun carrier had been presented to the British War Office in 1935, and at this time, the Italian military was in close relationship with the British military. Certainly, they had ordered a number of light vehicles such as the Carden-Loyd Mk.VI and V* from Great Britain already, which had served as starting points for various Italian tank developments.

For those who want a german universal carrier but dont want a at cannon for some reason. add a second roof mounted m38 breda and we have an italian Universal carrier for the axis long live the roman empire. this would make a perfect even squad giving every faction a universal carrier. we would then have lend lease, captured, designed and clone. Of course we should also move the trucks to br1 or better yet add the jeep as a br1 apc, or lightly armed scout cars like the m3 (no armored cars that is a tank).
unity, unity
