Dumb question, is bolt-action + (perk: increased fire-rate with bolt-action) = viable ?
I’m getting kinda tired of switching fire-mode for every single soldier every time I spawn.
AI Soldier fire only a burst with Automatic weapons so is usless switch their fire they go to fire 2 or 3 bullet always
Yes, it can be. I went and grinded all of berlin allies with just bolt actions and you can still do just as good as a SF spammer. Takes a lot more effort, and if theirs two/three Sf users in a squad your likely screwed unless your blessed with competent teammates by the snail, but even bolt actions in SF based campaigns can work wonders
AI seem to automatically do better with higher unlock bolt actions.
For example my AIs with Lee Enfield Mk4 get better kills than any other bolt action I use

this is so wrong
everything is viable if you can aim. but its nowhere near as efficient as select fires.

Viable? Definitely. However I doubt it would mean anything for AI soldiers, as they don’t shoot often enough with bolties (or any weapon) to use the perk correctly. If you use the soldier YOURSELF however… It’s great. I even recommend it for Stalingrad, where bolt actions are much, more more effective.
In Berlin however you might want to stick with AVT/Avs or the Fgs.
