I have few suggestion that are somehow aesthetic and bugging me: 1* Sten should be handled by magazine wel - it is how it was handled by almost all its users cuz of imbalance that was cauzed by magazine weight. In game it is awkwardly handled very close to the trigger- I suppose it would be awkward to handle and shoot precisely, 2* Pistols were used one-handed during WW2 not 2 handed like in game and most other “ww2” shooters, 3* Let the ground that was shoveled ( “foxholes” digged by shovel) change color to bit darker and grass to disappear to distinguish it from normal ground, 4* M30 Luftwaffe dryling as a name suggest is dryling…give us few shots of that rifle berrel. 0.5* For Christ sake make it easier to pick up wapons and throw back grenades it seems like a nightmare to do it.
Hope this gets noticed and have positive response.
Indeed most contextual actions, from picking up weapons to mounting guns on barricades and windowslits, have ridiculously small tolerance areas if not even counterintuitive, as you often need to step back to be able to perform the action.
Throwing back grenades should rightfully be difficult, tho.
Really not sure about this… have you ever fired a .45 revolver? It kinda kicks… we play using soldier who had a modicum of training, so I bet they were not using their revolvers/pistols like common thugs
If they were it would only have been as reaction moves and certainly would have been very, very inaccurate.
They were, check instructional vids from the perioid, they should be on yt. Yah I know 45 kicks but that was how pistols were used back then. Two handed pistol grip is a post ww2 thing.
I belive this will settle the issue wiyh handguns, two handed shooting was taught to increase fire precision. So yes it was taught however standard combat fire was one handed. Anyway we can pass this as a “precision fire” in game
I think Day of Infamy and Hell Let Loose also have something like this where your character would use one hand when standing but both hands when kneeling or prone. I personally don´t really care since none of the characters handle their weapons very authentic anyway.
Say what? I use them every time I can. C96 is a cqb beast better than normal bolt action in certain situations, 911 is straight death, and generally speaking every pistol is good-just don’t spray like crazy and u might actually hit smth, sniping with pistols to piss ppl of or for fun. Spray only in direct cqb. I might say that I use them in every game and have no problemo in getting kills with them.
Indeed as @2023669 says, pistols (aside of TK or Nagant revolver…) are not entirely useless. I find myself in situations where pistols do the job far better than most other weapons and can even be used in offense.
Yes, such usage is limited, but it is still possible and fun to use most pistols we currently have in the game (including non TK twitch drop pistols).
That does not mean that pistols do not deserve at least some slight buffs. Time needed to reload revolvers is one of the prime examples because reloading your revolver with “no rush, we got all time in the world” logic is not really effective at all.
I do agree as of reload in revolvers, it should be faster a bit or use a fast loader thingy for revolvers-if I’m not mistaken there are such thingies for webley for example - the thingies that u load all 6 rounds at once. And some slight boost to accuracy maybe
If I have a bolt action I definitely find them to be more effective for clearing the more open houses in Tunisia where I can’t just bayonet my way through.
