Weapons and soldiers
-
Added a new class: Saboteur.
- Unable to test due to no testable items
-
Added new weapons:
- Lackluster. AVS-36 really didn’t need to be added. Waste of time and resources. I don’t play BR IV or V due to the presence of jets anyway. The BR III flamethrowers may be interesting at some point.
-
Changed the BR of multiple weapons:
- Indifferent to these changes. I do not play BRs IV or V anyway due to the presence of Jets. These changes only give me the Luftfaust as a playable weapon now. The MP 40/1, Carcano sniper, and Murata are logical changes, although the difference between BR II and BR I is minimal.
-
Corrected the position of the weapon in the soldier’s hands when using the DT-29 while being prone.
- Indifferent: I do not play BR IV or V due to the presence of jets in the game.
-
Added new melee attack variations for weapons and bayonets.
- A positive, but unneeded QOL change.
-
Reduced the recoil control from 75% to 50% of the following weapons and their variants: AVS-36, AKT-40, AVT-40, Fedorov Avtomat, Fedorov rifle (25), T20E1 rifle, T20 Rifle, FG 42, FG 42 II, Krieghoff FG, Type Hei Automatic rifle, Breda PG (CR).
- Feedback on Recoil Control: Making full sized Battle Rifles less accurate on full auto is a positive thing. From personal use of these types of firearms, I would still increase these to about 85%.. EDIT, I got it backwards. this is a horrible move. these weapons should be LESS accurate.
-
Reduced the recoil control from 70% to 60% of the following weapons: Type Hei LMG, Scotti Naval Rifle, Cei-Rigotti Rifle, Breda PG (Carcano).
- Feedback on Recoil Control: Making full sized Battle Rifles less accurate on full auto is a positive thing. Edit: this is a BAD move as above.
-
Increased the recoil control of the PPD-BraMit from 55% to 70% to be in line with other submachine guns.
- Feedback: This is a logical change.
-
Updated the animations of the M1A1 Thompson Para submachine gun.
- Unable to test due to not having the squad
-
Split the uniform of Japanese infantry into torso and legs on the Appearance screen.
- A logical and positive change.
-
Added additional torso customization options for British soldiers in the Pacific.
- A logical and positive change.
-
Added additional overcoat customization options for German Volkssturm squads.
- A logical and positive change. I was hoping for more civilian-looking clothing and hats, though.
Vehicles
-
Added new vehicles:
-
Do 335 A-1 (Germany, BR V, Research)
- Another experimental vehicle added to the tech tree. This should be a premium or event at best. This is a negative addition. Wouldn’t use it anyway because jets are in BR V.
-
Cromwell I (USA, BR III, Research)
- A positive addition to the Allied Tech Tree. Correctly assigned to the British Tanker Squad.
- Recommend: Applying all British tanks to the 48th Royal Tank Regiment. Reassigning the M10 GMG, M4A1, M4A2, M4A3 (105) and their BP equivalents to the American Tanker Squads (4th Tank Battalion and 66th Armor Regiment)
-
Chi-Ha LG (Japan, BR II, Research)
- Another experimental vehicle added to the tech tree. Again, should have been Premium or Event only. Correctly added to BR II however.
-
-
Changed the BR of the Stug III F from III to II.
- Finally dropping the StuG III F to BR II is a positive thing. Turretless vehicles using the same cannon as a Turreted vehicle should not share the same BR. In this case, separating the StuG III F from the Pz.IV G is a good thing.
- Recommend: Dropping the Premium StuG III G to BR II as well.
-
Changed the BR of the M18 GMC from IV to III.
- Dropping the M18 GMC with the same gun as the M4A2 76 W is a good thing since the armor is so much thinner.
- Recommend: Dropping the M10 GMG to BR II since it now shares the same BR as the M18 GMC but has thinner armor.
-
Changed the BR of the Na-To from III to II and removed its APCR shells.
- Good, the Type 5 75mm cannon was not issued APCR to begin with.
-
Changed the BR of the 15 cm Pz.W.42 from IV to III.
- May even need to be BR II. But it definitely does not need to be at IV, a positive change.
Gameplay
- Increased the amount of score earned from multiple sources:
- All positive changes, although I did not test because a game would never start!!!
UI
-
Added an additional free special squad slot for event and premium squads.
-
Now you can use event squads in the special slot that was only for premium squads previously.
- The Crown Jewel of this update.
-
Added the ability to create perk presets for soldiers.
- Warning: Using this feature will destroy any negative perk points you may have saved after the rebalancing.
-
Customization items for soldiers that give protection now have a distinctive icon.
- Verified. A much-needed addition. This is the QOL improvements we need. We shouldn’t have to use the spreadsheet to figure out how to play the game. The UI should tell us.
- Recommendation: While its nice to have confirmation which items provide armor, the UI still does not tell the user what that actually means in game terms. I recommend providing a description of the actual game mechanic instead of “Item has extra armor”.
- Note: Its good that we finally have confirmation on which Japanese helmets provide the headshot bonus and even the Japanese premium moto squad does indeed have body armor.
-
When searching for reserve squads, the filter now also takes into account the vehicles that the squads can use.
- Verified. A much-needed addition. This is the QOL improvements we need.
Graphics
-
Destroyed objects now break into small pieces, instead of sinking into the ground.
- Verified, I like the dissolving better than the sinking
-
Added the possibility to burn vegetation and grass.
- Verified, looks awesome!
-
Firing a mortar, anti-tank rifle or rocket launcher now creates a dust cloud.
- Verified, although I would like keep an eye on it in the future for different surfaces like snow.
Here is a retarded poll that has nothing to do with this post.
- Yes
- No
