Feature Request: "Squad Lineup Presets" for easy BR switching

Hello, I would like to suggest a Quality of Life (QoL) improvement regarding squad management.

1. The Issue Currently, switching between different Battle Ratings (BR) is extremely tedious and time-consuming. If a player wants to switch from a High BR setup to a Low BR setup, they have to manually change the equipment and weapons for every single soldier in every squad. Although there is an “Individual Soldier Preset” feature, applying it one by one for an entire squad (and multiple squads) is still cumbersome and requires too many clicks.

2. The Suggestion Please add a “Squad Lineup Preset” feature in the main menu (Squads tab). This would allow players to save their current combination of active squads and their equipment as a “Preset.”

How it should work:

  • Save: I configure my active squads for BR II and save it as “Preset A”. Then I configure another lineup for BR V and save it as “Preset B”.
  • Load: With a single click, I can switch my entire active lineup from “Preset A” to “Preset B”.

3. Why this is needed

  • Convenience: It eliminates the repetitive micro-management of changing gear for every soldier when changing tiers.
  • Flexibility: It allows players (especially those with fewer squad slots) to easily enjoy various BRs without the hassle of re-equipping everyone.
  • Encourages Variety: Players will be more willing to play different BRs if the switching process is instant and easy.
Do we need a “Squad Lineup Preset” feature to switch BRs easily?
  • Yes, manually changing equipment for every match is annoying.
  • No, the current system is fine.

This has been discussed and suggested repeatedly since presets were introduced. So, it’s a good suggestion but I’ve sort of lost hope that it will be added.

Yeah, adding presets which would save your various lineups, along with those lineups having different weapons change outs kind of puts a damper on some people buying premium squads. :joy:

If I buy up every slot and pay for premium, I essentially have eleven slots, and nine of which I can use infantry, so, if I could use the same nine squads saved with every BR level weapon, I really only need those nine squads to play every BR level, which is one reason I buy up premium squads, since it helps fill out various BR levels. I think Gaijin would be more inclined to keep it more difficult on players so we have more reason to buy premium squads.

Even if they only add the ability to change the primary weapon of every soldier in a given squad with a preset, I would already be more than happy.
Thats already 4-8 click less I have to do with every squad, I need to change.
