Define work.
Again wrong. It was not made by testers. It was made by the developers and they sent it out to all of us. Testers didn’t even see that before and that for a reason. To don’t hide any changes which we proposed to make sure we don’t add our personal believes in it. The list was sent out to all at the same time to analyze and propose on it on the same time.
the original post by DF stated, that the list was created with the input of the helpers.
i made a video about the problems and how to solve them, also covering many smart ideas from the community.
there was apparently more understanding and work in that one video than in the whole progression draft.
you dont need to be afraid, DF will still let you spend lots of time on their business.
the main problem is, that basically every random person writing a 1 minute post here created a better progression list than DF + all their helpers together. this is a clear indicator of limited competence and low trustworthyness, which DF wants to work on and improve.
It wasn’t. It was made by the developers and it wasn’t stated anywhere that it was made with our input.
i remember it reading in some official comment. but if you state so, its ok and acceptable for me.
For pure balance testing aspect. Small alpha team always failed to test out exact game balance. It can only prevent major balance issue.
Alpha players are much more hardcore than general players.
Most alpha balance test I participated in, all some what mismatched actual post release balance.
*Including Enlisted
We are a good mix of players.
Some play regular, some don’t
Some play only a fraction of campaigns, some play all
Some still need to grind, some have all.
We are a good mix.
Yet:
According your definition I’d be the hardcore player. You think I only propose and fix my personal believes?
I’ve seen changes, which I proposed, that I dislike but the community wanted them.
The game is bigger than the “hardcore player”. And any of the helpers or testers think the same. Get your facts right.
i never described or refered to anyone as hardcore players, you are clearly mixing up what other people posted.
the only thing i ever said regarding this context is that i see a clear lack of competence, and therefore questionable quality of testing work. the reasons for that are not worth discussing, since the end results already prove it.
you dont need to get emotional or take it personally, since its not about anyone involved, its about a digital product, its successful release in a hopefully high quality state and the resulting fun for millions of new players. in front of this some random individuals dont matter at all.
same as moderation team
You misunderstood something. I was quoting the comrades post, not yours. I understand totally what you are saying, no worries.
alright, i think we got all confused because too many people posted about different things. ill just stop posting and we can wait for other people to hear their ideas about early/late release.
this way DF can collect some useful data.
Come on, how many balance test have you participated in?
Even for Enlisted itself, the early testing period always failed to represent later stage actual situation. Because so many more complex situation after mass players come in.
Remember in CAT versions, Soviet was much more powerful, but after CBT paid players came, balance actual shifted to German side. In CBT era, Soviet generally was weaker, but after OBT, too many players flood in Soviet side, balance again, failed to match CBT test result.
In Berlin CBT, Soviet barely even past the bridge. But after Berlin release to mass public, balance again not matching CBT result.
Let alone, those old FPS games that I participated in testing.
Winter war, Isonzo, Tannenberg, BTW, and so many more, all failed to match the actual release situation.
Also, really, those already knowing to fill the form, and got dev’s alpha testing permissions, are super core players to game.
Even lots of core players on forum did not receive alpha test access.
BTW, wanna check my prediction on medic?
I had post lots more futuristic suggestions for the game.
Really, ATM, balance and BR is a relative minor things. There’s lots more things they need to be priority on.
2~4 weeks arent going to actually improved much. As DF is well known for releasing half baked contents and after months, still no major improvements.
But really, ATM, no one really care about when the merge will going to happen.
But DF need things to keep players still interested in their game.
The longer major content update interval, the more players they will lose.
It’s about the time window they gonna launch. I dont see they are hyping up anything about the merge.
this forum in a nutshell
it doesnt matter even if we find 200 bugs in initial release when they dont have capacity to fix all those bugs.
The product better be polished before Steam release or general advertising. Craptacular steam reviews will crush the long term prospects of the game, so they better have the game in a really good place before it’s launch.
don’t need to test the new BR system to know it’s going to be trash
just knowing how it’s going to work is enough to know it’s junk
best thing they could do to salvage the situation is to do the tiered system as a side game and leave the main game open to all tiers
the BR system should have been a custom mode to be completely honest, not a full game self destruction exercise
War Thunder gives access to a dev server 1 max 2 weeks before actual release. They could do the same I guess.
