Unpopular Opinion: It may be better to release the new enlisted version for 2-4 weeks for everyone WITHOUT putting out big advertisements/Steam-releasing it so the playerbase can test it, detect bugs etc.
“b-but then we have to do all the bug finding work instead of DF!”
→ So what? Thats exactly how it currently is and by now its obvious that there is basically no real bug testing before the release of new updates/patches.
And since DF can not properly balance weapons and features themselves, its the best if the players just playtest whatever the new BR level will be for different weapons, give precise feedback and then DF changes the BR values and THEN releases it on steam with a much better version of the game that they would ever create themselvse.
I see a win win for all sites involved.
Btw: Before the big release the AI needs to be hardwired to always build rallies, not only 10% of all bots; by now its obvious to everyone that humans are too lazy-assy for that kind of responsibility. Let bots do what players are to lazy for and the game becomes instantly much better.

This is the alpha tester work

How is that unpopular opinion?
Plus it’s very unlikely they would release merge update on the same date as steam release.
you literally became the “b-but”-dude
they already created the published BR progression draft. how good was that work? exactly.
the whole community agreed its a product of utter misunderstanding of the game.
i’ll state politely, that its better to collect data from ten thousands of players and listen to them than to rely on DF (who dont understand their own game that well) and their hand selected helpers, who correlate with the DF intrinsic attributes.

Wrong, wrong and wrong.
You misunderstand the complexity of how this works.
Not defending the first draft (not testable).
You state that you want to participate and the list that was sent WAS/IS YOUR CHANCE TO DO SO.
The list is a draft and if you read carefully you’ll see that the developers wrote it with the sentence “Give us feedback and write down exactly what and why”.
What else do you want they do? They did exactly what you are asking for, yet you blame them to send out this.

you are describing exactly what i propose without seeing the solution.
the draft was made by testers → they failed → the community saved DF
this is exactly what i propose here, instead of risking the failure of a big, very expensive release, they can skip the first part and go straight to the community to save time, since they lose lots of profit every month the release gets delayed. this is common business practice and many companies to it for assorted digital product types and in the best interests if df/gaijin.

And? Everyone of us shitted on the BR list because was like probably made 1H before get posted
But the list dont was the topic point
They asked for feedback on how make a better progression rework based on their list, something how many of us has do?
5 of us me counted…
The rest are pure rant and shitposting
Again wrong. It was not made by testers. It was made by the developers and they sent it out to all of us. Testers didn’t even see that before and that for a reason. To don’t hide any changes which we proposed to make sure we don’t add our personal believes in it. The list was sent out to all at the same time to analyze and propose on it on the same time.

the original post by DF stated, that the list was created with the input of the helpers.
i made a video about the problems and how to solve them, also covering many smart ideas from the community.
there was apparently more understanding and work in that one video than in the whole progression draft.
you dont need to be afraid, DF will still let you spend lots of time on their business.
the main problem is, that basically every random person writing a 1 minute post here created a better progression list than DF + all their helpers together. this is a clear indicator of limited competence and low trustworthyness, which DF wants to work on and improve.

It wasn’t. It was made by the developers and it wasn’t stated anywhere that it was made with our input.

i remember it reading in some official comment. but if you state so, its ok and acceptable for me.

For pure balance testing aspect. Small alpha team always failed to test out exact game balance. It can only prevent major balance issue.
Alpha players are much more hardcore than general players.
Most alpha balance test I participated in, all some what mismatched actual post release balance.
*Including Enlisted
We are a good mix of players.
Some play regular, some don’t
Some play only a fraction of campaigns, some play all
Some still need to grind, some have all.
We are a good mix.
Yet:
According your definition I’d be the hardcore player. You think I only propose and fix my personal believes?
I’ve seen changes, which I proposed, that I dislike but the community wanted them.
The game is bigger than the “hardcore player”. And any of the helpers or testers think the same. Get your facts right.

i never described or refered to anyone as hardcore players, you are clearly mixing up what other people posted.
the only thing i ever said regarding this context is that i see a clear lack of competence, and therefore questionable quality of testing work. the reasons for that are not worth discussing, since the end results already prove it.
you dont need to get emotional or take it personally, since its not about anyone involved, its about a digital product, its successful release in a hopefully high quality state and the resulting fun for millions of new players. in front of this some random individuals dont matter at all.

You misunderstood something. I was quoting the comrades post, not yours. I understand totally what you are saying, no worries.
alright, i think we got all confused because too many people posted about different things. ill just stop posting and we can wait for other people to hear their ideas about early/late release.
this way DF can collect some useful data.
