Fantastic Update

So much wow! most excellent.

Currently grinding for STG on Norm. Instead of doing advanced algorithms on HackerRank, so I can land me a nice gig at MS. Sigh. Dang video games lol

Otherwise, excellente update, enjoying. Tunis seems very plain though - bunch of running over open fields, getting sniped by bots and snipers. Bombing thing is fun, yes more modes, to change things up.

Cheers.

It is a nice update and I really don’t have a lot of complaints.

On a serious note, fun new content so far.

Exept artificial bullet dispersion and bizzare armour model on the A13 (can tank 40mm pdr shells, feels strange)

after they fixed the way bikes drive yeah. its kinda a nice patch.
i was expecting more levels, not gonna lie. but they will come over time.

premiums this time are a hard pass for me besides the ones in tunisia… too expensive for what we will get.

overall it was a nice patch. some things could be diferent. but i m more hyped for custom matches and the accademy removal.

oh, and finnaly a campaign i can move around without getting bombed every single minute…!

Tunisia gets more interesting when people actually have engineers. Engis not being around till level 9 means lots of games where there are no rally points, which makes the game a lot slower and more skewed towards downtime. The buildings feel really different than what normandy and moscow have to offer, and have some really lovely interior detailing, as well. I also love smoke artillery, its made the radio operator squad my favorite by a good margin. Turning the point into a giant stab fest as everyone runs around blind never gets old.

There’s only a handful of complaints I have with this update

  1. StG in Moscow
  2. Panther being added to Normandy when the US has no AT guns that can knock it out frontally until the M10 which is an even more unbalanced reverse of the Jumbo situation
  3. The absolutely insane prices for new premiums and what some of them are (Jumbo with APCR and PzIV with HEAT)

From what I am seeing in the files, there will be sherman fireflies, just hoping that It won’t be assigned to an american crew for god’s sake

That still doesn’t solve the imbalance because it’ll be level 35+
Jumbo could fortunately be destroyed frontally by every German vehicle sans the 3N
While not ideal, it was doable
Ideally the Jumbo would have been swapped for something less powerful, but that’s not what ended up happening

+1
only complaint i have about the last update is dispersion, but its great other than that

They should have put british squads since the start, at least having stens and brens would have made sense

100%!

What I am thinking as the updates are coming more and more, is that the devs didn’t have much of a long term vision. They are adding and adding in order to fix some holes, but adding doesn’t solve the problems at the ground. They shouldn’t be afraid of reskinning or changing completely an already implemented squad setting/weaponry etc. An example? The smoke artillery thing is only in Tunisia because the squads are new, they are afraid to mess up the old ones of the other campaigns

I’m almost certain that the campaign system is going to get a overhaul before the game exits beta, so I’m banking on that sorting out big disparities
Probably combined with some sort of squad power level limits like mechwarrior tonnage to keep you from just fielding super meta squads

Disparities ain’t the problem, since all the weapons in good hands can butcher the entire squads, it depends by the player, the contest, the squad, by a load of other things.

In fact focusing too much of deleting “disparities” is the problem, since in order to balance the russians in Moscow we got Stg44 with scopes. Word to the wise

There was no imbalance in Moscow that necessitated giving the Germans the MkB

They don’t focus on it
At least with Normandy the intent is power creep

Wait for the second part

Yes, it’s good you buy most of the premiums, cause I didn’t buy a single one, since CBT. good thing I skipped on 50 bucks for Tunisia premiums, would have burned if I bought it lol

Yeah, STG on Moscow is very weird, but I guess it’s to help Germans, gotta keep it interesting

They certainly didn’t need any help
That’s why its so jarring they add a weapon that wasn’t even out of prototyping to the tree like that
