German paratroopers are currently depicted wearing low lace-up shoes with gaiters, or alternatively standard German Army boots. The only exception among the paratrooper units available to me is Ramcke’s paratroopers, who are shown without gaiters. The 18th Parachute Regiment (Krieghoff) unit is fixed with gaters and cannot be modified.
Historically, German paratroopers (Fallschirmjäger) wore specialized jump boots rather than regular army footwear.
Two main patterns were used:
Pattern 1 – an early model with side lacing

Pattern 2 – a later model, more similar in appearance to U.S. Corcoran-style jump boots

For greater historical accuracy and authenticity, these dedicated paratrooper boot types would be more appropriate than the shoes with gaiters.
Proposal:
Should the footwear for German paratrooper units be updated to historically correct Fallschirmjäger jump boots (Pattern 1 or Pattern 2 where appropriate)?
