Thank you for the event, the rewards are really great! We’d also love to see swords (German, Soviet, USA). The Owen is a really nice weapon, I’ll happily use it! Please give us more events like this!

Anyone know where it can be placed in proper WW2 style on an LVT, for instance?

It seems like lvts weren’t historically titled with the “usmc” text. I also cannot find that many “usmc” tanks either so i guess this decal was quite rare in real life. I just put mine on the side of my lvt where it looks good. Not sure what i am going to do with the other one

Yeah I did almost the same:
The LVT squad is the only one that’s clearly USMC regardless where it ends up so it makes the tiniest bit of sense at least.
I’m thinking mine will go on the “tank” LVT
Even though I barely ever use it.
From what I’ve read every vehicle in US WW2 military must have had “USA/USMC/US Navy + serial number” somewhere.

what mm cannon? or is it 12.7mm HMG?
I don’t have this vehicle so i don’t have many options. I would like to use the decal on my m4a3 105 but it would look dumb if i end up in normandy with it. Unfortunately the new map based camo system doesn’t work with decals

Which is another obvious issue completely ignored by the devs.
Some decals will simply blend into new camo even if everything works as intended:

That seems to be the case for jeeps and logistics vehicles but tanks for an example were lot less organized looking. I have hard time finding authentic pictures of US tanks with usmc insignia when most of them look like this

From what I understand, by regulations they were supposed to have them, and probably were all supplied with proper markings, but those markings weren’t kept too much by the crews
These look like army vehicles. From what i have seen army tank crews usually sticked with the standard markings while in the pacific it was less organized. Marine vehicles are very unique in terms of looks
This is very true, that’s why I wish we got a special skin available only for the “Pacific/Burma” customization pool.
Maybe even with wooden planks as 3D decoration that would actually make sense more than most other options sold for gold or “zombie” planked tanks, or maybe even the water-crossing equipment on the back as 3D elements:

The zombie m4a2s “authentic” skin variant has quite nice looking planks. Unfortunately the 76w sherman doesn’t really fit in pacific since they mainly used 75 shermans against japanese due to more powerful HE shells and no need for high pen cannons. I wish we got similar looking bp/ event skin for the 75mm m4a2 which was used in large quantities by usmc

It is available for everyone who bought that tank (probably 9 people). It can be equipped in the camo section for free as a more authentic alternative
