Last year there was some dev talk about giving Japan, Soviet’s real AT guns (Zis 3, Japan one?) I am not sure if this is forgotten or still something on backlog.
Would be nice to see. Also, same might be said for AT weapons, give Soviet’s, Japs something other than PF, Offenr…
I was thinking the Soviets could use a better AT gun than the Zis-3, since it’s performance can cover only for BR 3 to 4, unlike the 17 pounder which with it’s APDS can deal with KTs and other heavy tanks.
My suggestion in such case would be the M1944 (BS-3).
It fits more with the overall Heavy AT gun feel for late war BRs.
Balance-wise it’s a glass canon. Would one-shot tanks but the reload would be a pain if you miss and would prevent it from effectively HE spamming into CPs.
Secondly, if we’re talking about the AT emplacements. I believe we were also promised AA placements for BR 3 and higher. Being stuck with a single 20 mm AA against jets is a joke.
We had both the quad Flakvierling 38 and the M45 quad mount in the game, before. It’s about time they saw use again.
Those were placeholders, it’s only been 15 months, we can’t demand so much…
