Based purely on how these things perform they should not be in the bomber slot both the P-47 and its variants as well as F7F-1 should be moved to Fighter squads as it stands at top tier Allied air mainly the U.S/England faction can have 2 fighters up at once usually 1 jet and one piston engine fighter bomber.
You know what, i’d opposed to this suggestion had i not had to have experienced playing infantry against HE cancer shenanigans that is F-80A along with P-47 on the air at the same time on some of the open area maps on Normandy/Bulge/Pacific. I actually agree with the OP for once just so that if P-47 on the air, at least i don’t have to get mauled by F-80A at the same and vice versa.
You can make all the assumptions about me you want but at least have a real counter argument other than saying “HAHA GET GOOD NOOB” it’s not productive.
I’m not making assumptions about you… i’m simply suggesting instead of whining there are too many planes and too powerful be the one to do something about, that is very productive in game… sitting on the AA the entire time is equally as annoying for the plane as it is for you.
Well that’s not true every faction can have it without USSR Axis and Japan have fighters in the Attacker Squad. Simply US have the best and the most starting from BR II to BR V. For the Axis simply Germany must get Fw 190 D-13 | War Thunder Wiki with 1x500 kg bomb at BR V and Fw 190 D-12 to be moved to BR IV and Japan to get Ki-83 bombs replaced by 250 kgs and its almost playable sadly even that cant fix the problem completely since the Allies faction has a lot of premium and event planes with squads that can be equipped while Axis and Japan dont so for sure you will lose since the Allies can rotate their jets endlessly …
There is an event p47 with the m8 rockets already at br5. It could be moved to br4 possibly due to not having hvar rockets. Not sure if flight characteristics and armaments might be a bit too much. I think it was the P-47D-RE.
