F2P is not a viable option for a player IMO

So a few days into the test - I purchased premium, but have mostly managed to restrain myself from buying any equipment, weapons or troops until a few hours ago (got a few Expl packs and ammo and gren pouches mainly). I did buy Lvl 2 of each campaign to get tanks ASAP.

I don’t see this game as having a viable F2P process - weapon and troop deliveries are painfully slow - you can relatively easily get the grenade kill and “play/win some games” ones - but some of the task options are difficult and you can quickly run out of options to change them (I’m currently stuck on 30 mortar 2 a/c and 10 pistol kills that I’m really not good enough to get)

As a result a F2P player simply isn’t going to progress at any viable speed (unless they’re a lot better than me I guess - might be many of those of course)

Even with Premium I’m finding my squads are progressing faster than I can get recruits - I have very few reserves so can’t actually afford to send many to the academy any more - most of my fighting troops are not fully stared 2- or 3-star troops.

It got to be such a hassle that I did give in, bought some equipment and weapons and troops.

I didn’t had any problem playing without any premium squad or anything (except of the premium time i got from the CBT) :neutral_face:

Certainly the potential is there :slight_smile:

But it’s being hyped as F2P - which is only going to be true in the very strictest sense - no-one who enjoys this game is going to stick to F2P - you just can’t - so everyone gonna be a whale sooner or later.

Those who don’t are just going to be the plankton to be harvested! :smiley:

For me the issue is that tasks which I cannot or do not want to perform block my progress. I am playing a campaign I like, why should I bother with other campaigns or solo mode? We never had this pressure in CBT and we should not now. Keep it for premium things like silver tickets, but don’t block progress, you are ruining the game!

yeah i beleive they should stop one campaign and focus on one only giving two campaigns is dum dum

They cannot change this of course, some people prefer one theatre and side and it is good to have choice. But they should not force us to switch and they should not force us to do unrealistic missions.

Kill N enemies, capture N points, win N battles is fine. Go to solo mode and as a German in Normandy kill 3 snipers with a hammer is not - and they are not far from that.

we already have knife 18 enemies …meta has changed i get more kills with my knife in buildings lol due to dumb dumb AI… they cant do anything at all

And this knifing is another unnecessary (if easy) task. Also, build a lot of things by engineer. No challenge, you just harm your team and look like an idiot. Such tasks force people to do stupid things.

Yep to both - haven’t had the melee one yet, but doesn’t sound like it’s too hard.

Engineer one just spams barbed wire - I do try to make it in useful places if possible, but it isn’t always possible! :confused:

I just started to play with a friend that was fresh from everything…

I mean, he used to play from H&G.

But I’m just looking at both progress and, by the premium, I’m like 4 squads ahead of him, which it’s increased by premium.

But the issue is, neither him, and neither me managed to use the academy so often. Weapons are scarce… the only weapons that I managed to have, are 6 gewher 43s for my 4 squads. Many of them are 3 stars. But many other as well are made from 1 stars.

The problem as you said, and as I was trying to say, we still lack of man power.

Weather it’s truee that I have units made of 3 stars, I only have in total 17 soldiers

3 dudes for the artillery regiment, 5 from the snipers, 1 from the pilot, 4 from the tankers, and lasty, 5 from the pioneer squads.

The worst is, I have upgrades to include more soldiers, but I do not have any soldiers.

Because I have other soldiers stacked in the initial squads that I don’t need and don’t use anymore. But I can’t move them as I don’t have replacements.

Lacking of soldiers to put.

But I didnt even talked about my friend.

Where he is forced to play quest instead of objective…

This newer system is somewhat better than the one before…
But something has went terribly wrong.

Not to mention, using silver orders for soldiers of 2 star it’s an absolute joke.

Even with premium I never get troop cards. I feel like I’m forced to either spend gold on reserves or just grind it out. Premium should make the drops faster for troop cards. Like some have said, I’m stuck with max squads for their level and I cannot progress because I have no reserves to send to academy.

It takes a ridiculous amount of time to get troops and weapon orders.

Especially compared to the 3000 xp cycle in the CBT - we were told this would be “about the same” (or words to that effect IMO) - it isn’t even close :frowning:

I usually hate battle passes and have bad experiences but I honestly feel like I might have to buy it to have an enjoyable experience.
