This suggestion should come as no surprise to anyone on the receiving end of an artillery Capture point rush. But this suggestion is to make it so people don’t rush points during an artillery strike because your team cannot do damage to you as well as providing a penalty for doing so on purpose.
The basics of this system proposal is that too many times I see artillery or mortars dropped on a location your team is actively attacking. Specifically artillery, which can wipe out anywhere from 10-20 people in a well timed hit. This is more an issue on invasion where you cannot retake ground once the point is captured.
The penalty for friendly fire should be -1 kill plus subtracting a kill reward from the score. This will mostly affect players who accidentally hit teammates but should be effective at discouraging it. The second is that you will be kicked from the game if you kill more than 27 friendly troops in squads. (I don’t play lone fighters so I won’t make a determination on that.) This is the rough equivalent of wiping out 3 full infantry squads at max strength so should be hard to achieve except for griefing players. Players who are kicked from a certain number of games in a short period should be banned from the game for griefing.
This system does not have to apply to all explosives but should apply to Artillery, Tank HE, plane bombs and Mortars as they are not meant to be used near friendly infantry.
Actually it seems that friendly fire from artillery strikes is back. It happend to me a couple of times when one of my teammates (we were playing in one squad, so no hard feelings there) ran into my artillery barrage area.
What is hard to define here is “doing it on purpose”. It is really hard to decide when someone purposefully dropped artillery strike on his team. Even I did something similar few times by clicking too fast and dropping barrage on my own and my teammates head (that was in CBT, friendly fire was definetely not present then)
I put specifically explosives and deliberately outlined ones that aren’t infantry. You can see where your team is on the map so it would only prevent the issue presented.
I figured if you managed to get 27 kills, a goo arty player does about 60-100 kills a game, it’s probably on purpose. Or at least they clearly don’t care about friendly fire.
Artillery does friendly fire. Every time without fail I can drop artillery on a sector with no friendlies in it and half of my team will converge into the fire to die after it gets conveniently highlighted for them.
Why not both?
My radio squad is composed of only three soldiers, but they are the biggest chads of all my troops. And when radioman sits in the back and provides artillery support, LMG gunner is on the first line.
Speaking of bombs. Being able to launch a new strike every 30 seconds just turns the whole game into a bomb fest if you get the wrong people in a match. That perk needs removal.
Could anyone answer and explain to me who created votekick system on this game? This game is fabulous, I’ve played multiply FPS games, but this title sharing first place; so far the best fps game experience sharing with few titles, but votekick system is f wild how is that possible that person with -1000 points who shooting peoples in the head on respawn, 14 vote for yes and 0 for no is not enough for ban troll? I’m playing on Europe servers and for lone fighters that’s usually one, max two servers which are full so… Maybe better solution to this is in case when player have negative points e.g. -300 to induce ban after positive vote percentage like 70% with minimum number players participation to vote like 10 players? And Vote should be limited to own team’s. Best of luck successor of Heroes and Generals, saw bike texture on few maps, maybe we would use them im the future? heh. Greetings. Implement lobby chat
