Is there and option to simply toss a TNT bundle than to full on throw it? I think that would help other throwable weapons in the process too.

I know this problem only too well 
. There is a way over it, though, order your AI to throw the det packs at tanks etc, that way they don’t behave like ping pong balls and stick to the tanks
