Commanders, in the upcoming “Operation Neptune” major update, you will be greeted with significantly reworked visuals when it comes to combat effects!
The destruction of tanks will become more spectacular: the effects of ammunition rack fires will be improved, plus the blown-off turrets will be able to even crush unsuspecting soldiers underneath them. Flying debris will leave distinct smoke trails and the resulting fire will spread to nearby grass and deal damage.
It will also be easier to spot when you penetrate the armor of vehicles, as it will produce more sparks, smoke and flames. Moreover, bullets from small arms will now ricochet off armor.
Aircraft won’t be left out either: the total destruction of a plane will be accompanied by a powerful explosion, while the blown-off parts will scatter more realistically, leaving a trail of fire in their wake.
Additionally, the update will bring reworked muzzle effects for certain calibers, improved tracers and dust effects from hits, as well as smoother fire animations.
Wasting time scripting explosions but doing absolutely nothing about the horrendous scripts regarding AI soldier movement.
This game is a waste of time…
The gaming experience is amazing now! The effects have been fully upgraded. Turret explosions and vision obstruction from wreckages are both improved. Recalling footage from World War II where downed aircraft and exploding shells sent dust flying several meters high, the in-game explosion effects now feel far more realistic.
