They’re way too multi-functional too, in my opinion. They just a better grenade that can also kill tanks. They should either be restricted to engineer, have their range shortened and the ability to cook them removed, or both. Seriously, when’s the last time you got killed by a grenade? I can’t recall a single moment like that. It’s always a tan bundle of boomsticks staring you and your squad in the eyes.
I think you are playing other game if u say that using TNT on tanks is hard to do
I didn´t say that. All I say is, that if you use your tank like a monkey, you are going to die like a monkey.
If not, you are going to end up with solid results and give enemy team an headache… people should really start to think and use vehicles as they should be used, before crying that TNT is OP against tanks…
Let me repeat one last time… I´m saying that as a person who uses tanks a lot in Enlisted.
u dont have to play like a “monkey” to get destroyed by a tnt, u just push with the team adn anyobe can sneak on u, covering behind walls or whatever.
TNT is OP, its like a grenade but also explodes tanks and everything, I think you are playing otehr game if u dont see that
That’s not what we are saying. Det packs are not “OP against tanks”, it’s just the way they work, the way maps are done, the way you can flank an enemy, makes them the best AT weapon with everything else being obsolete + works as a really strong grenade that can be lobbed like 30-40 meters with perks and I can carry 4 of them on each and every soldier.
I´m probably playing different Enlisted, because while I also die to TNT, I´m usually taking sh*tload of enemies with me because I know that I should check windows around before moving forward, and possibly let my team clear the way first while spraying enemy with MGs/HE. So I can confidently say, that when I die, it is usually my fault.
Not to mention that bombers in Moscow are mostly useless anyway because they struggle to pen heavier targets (heavier than BT-7).
Edited: I meant Moscow of course, not Normandy
but hey, i get lots of points using them, better if they dont get nerfed
Ohh, that’s what I was missing! I thought you just drive forward and spray around with MG and snipe with AP. Seriously… I don’t think you play tanks often or you just skipped over previous posts.
Single shot with sturmpistole between track, right behind the middle wheel, kills Jumbo instantly. Do you play AT?
I guess the only way to get attention of devs to this is to abuse det packs to their full extent.
The thin is, if ur team is stomping hard, yeah sure its gona be hard that someone sneaks on u, but when ur team is losing literally anyone can run to u, throw a tnt and gg.
Why would anyone use grenades over tnt?
That was actually a honest mistake, I meant Moscow. Sorry on that part
Soviet AT rifle can take out any tank with a single lucky shot. German AT rifle performs a bit worse and T-60 is very hard to kill with it, but the rest can be killed in one-two shots. If your aim sucks, you can at least kill some crew and all that can be done at under 100 meters. You can force tank to retreat or get disoriented.
But while I bring like a mofo an AT squad and try to take a flank, some rando just runs to the tank with det pack and blows up himself. So many times I would break tanks track to get an easier shot, for someone to just det pack that tank.
The infantry is suppose to be afraid of tanks, but in practice it became a “Mine! Mine! Mine!” meem where they run to you with their det packs out.
That is actually a valid point, however TNT being exclusive for a one class only would just create reverse situation I´m afraid (don´t give tankers too free reign, or it will take only few hours before forum gets spammed by tanks OP topics). Engineers are the next most logical class to carry them too.
That is because of the tanks it faces. German AT is effective as long as enemy do not have their more heavily armoured tanks.
? Really? How’s that then? It doesn’t blow up ammo…
Yea, I dont know how exactly balance it, I never said exclusive for one class. What I was thinking is maybe to limit the amount of TNT to 1 soldier per squad or something like that, just an example, could be other way.
But obviously ppl gona get mad if they dont get a refund of bronze orders for all the TNT they bought
Engineer can be present in almost (if not every) any squad which gives player a better chance to choose. Of course, if that is going to work out same way as tank or plane choosing, you better get ready for some serious beating not only from the air, but from the ground as well. And of course, disparity between F2P and player who bought active slots might probably end up be more visible too as result.
It does, but there are couple of things to keep in mind, first is that after pen, round still needs to have some “power” behind it, which is achieved by getting as much 90 degree angle as possible. The other is that a particular ammo rack can be empty, from what I’ve noticed, in this case ammo rack goes bright red but no explosion happens.
The “easier” is to hit fuel tank, tankers rarely get out to put out flames, then it explodes like 5 seconds later. But both are often not symmetrical, like German tanks are easier to kill on right side and Russian on the left.
The best part is that practicing these weak spots (except T-50) can be done in practice mod. Just need a good angle, mount weapon or at least go prone and carefully aim without moving sight when pulling the trigger - AT rifles have probably the biggest sway in the game.
IMHO all this parts make it rewarding when you one shot a tank from a 100 meters away.
With der pack this “rewarding” experience goes away rather fast.
There is an item slot where you keep AT/AP mines, could go there.
I would personally love to use the bomber class against tanks and get rid of the explosive pack spam but the rifles are inconsistent af. I’ve never been able to kill a T-60 with an AT rifle even in the practice range. Even BT-7 takes a couple of shot even if I am hitting the tanks or the ammo boxes. So, most of the time it is easier to just throw a det pack and be done with it.
The det packs have become even more relevant now because the AT cannon can now only be built by the engineer squad. People rarely carry those because no one wants to miss out on the arty spam.
The det packs keep the tanks in check. And it should stay that way. Unless the devs find a way to make the AT rifles work consistently.
That’s a great idea, would limit you to choose between either 1 pack or 1 mine (which are both silly lategame, i have squads with 3 detpacks and a mine for every soldier), and mean that grenades/smokes get more of a lookin, which currently a grenade is just a shitty detpack you can throw a little further.
Also does it really make sense that a soldier can be running around with a rifle with 3-4 spare clips/mags, AT launcher with 6 rockets, 3 detpacks, a mine, a pistol, a medkit and a knife and still be able to sprint? He’d be melting surely!
