Tankers do not need to be doing more, tankers sit and camp because of the controls, similar to why bombers suicide mostly, cause controls dictate that play style.
I love the way flamethrowers play but they arent viable currently. But i dont cry that everything else needs a nerf, I just find an alternative solution to the problem they were countering.
Many seem to be complaining because their favorite play styles are being hard countered. Protips - a stationary tank is an easy target, a dead gunner is a nonthreatening tank.

not when you are in AUSSIE land the 200 ping really messes it up
lol well that sucks… though one thing i have wanted flamethrower to be able to do is burn foliage… would be amazing if you could torch all the leafs and bushes blocking snipers line of sight but… currently the only way to remove that crap is to use a tank as a bulldozer… and on that subject when the fuck will we see hobart’s funnies like the armoured bulldozer and the crocodile tank

also planes wouldn’t be as bad if the fucking AAA turrets actually shot the way there were designed to shoot…

-.-’ like i said im basically end game flametroopers are my favourite squad along side engineers… i clean out entire squads with flamethrowers… personally the M1 works better in close quarters and the M2 works better in the open since it shoots further…

the knife should also be nerf but its less abused then the det pack
take a look at the bomb placement chart in that post i linked and then imagine using an anti-personnel mine to set off one of those blast chains

cool story, point being? think there are many MANY more changes which are needed mroe then this addition, and taking out detpacks would make this game unplayable as infantry…Id love playing god in a tank, for about 5 mins
and why do you think that is… oh that’s right because the bomber squad has gone extinct in the game… 10/10 games il never see a bomber on either allied or axis side…
if bombers were the only unit that could equip throw-able AT explosives (4kg HE Satchel Charges) then they would be played more to counter tanks, and ok maybe don’t make it a replacement for the PIAT launcher but make it a grenade that’s restricted to the bomber so you can still use a grenade pack in conjunction with them… Happy…

Yes because YOU like playing specialist squads. While MOST people are finding success with playing anti-infantry (as devs have indicated their preference) with a generalized toolkit for other occasions.
AT squads are obsolete because the guns are big, heavy and not as easy to use as many think. Engineers largely do the same job better with AT gun placements and ANY other squad with an AT infantry in it is a better option. And in most scenarios a bundle of TNT is lighter, more useful in more situations and does not occupy a 2nd gun slot with a heavy rifle or a specific class.
You want AT squads to be one hitting a full squad of tanks? This is neither realistic nor balanced (nor a challenge).
the whole argument is that troops that carry det packs can do the work of a AT bomber trooper better then what they can do with an AT weapon
what would like is for the bomber role to become more of “THE” AT role rather then jsut “A” AT role
