Been here forever. Took an extended break and came back. I am still annoyed by the aiming circle and would love a reason why it’s still in? You force us to stay in cockpit for “realism” but can’t take the one thing away that just ruins dogfighting.
THIS GAME HAS NO DOGFIGHTING.
What is the point in trying to control the skies when the second someone gets on your six you are dead 99.9% of the time. There is no need for high speed evasive maneuvers, because even if the player doesn’t see you he can just aim at the damn circle and get a kill.
Game seriously lacks any real tactical gameplay when it comes to the air war. It’s just bomb and die. Nothing else. When are we going to see a proper revamp with the first thing going is the aiming circle.
That’s the problem. You cannot have any dogfighting because any maneuvering that takes you out of the pilots aim is just negated by the circle. Don’t see the plane? That’s ok, just hammer down on the circle and you will get a kill. It’s beyond babysitting.
Enlisted is not exactly a pilot game its tank and infantry focus. Best you can do is try play some boom and zoom planes and hope there is no lag. Since with faster planes its harder to see the circle specially with jets. You can use white clouds to your advantage since the circle is white to blend the circle when they chaise you but yeah its easy mode in Enlisted to be a pilot compared to other games. Here is just spamming planes behind the enemy back.
I would have said yes to removing the circle for other aircraft (AA gunners do need it though) if jets were not added to the game. Hitting them can be challenging even with the aim assist circle.
In a jet vs jet fight, its not as bad, but if you are trying to shot down a jet with a BR IV plane… You need that assist.
It is called physics. Planes operate in a 3D 3 axis spaces. I don’t think most people understand that circle is used in real life air war fair. You have to literally put that bullet in front or near them when they are flying in a 3 axis space. Part of being a good pilot of knowing that general area and distance for the shot to hit.
