All the people thinking that the current system of the new update inbound is flawless is foolish. For anyone requesting to complicate the MM for historical accuracy is honorable but futile because the devs are too dumb to recreate it.
We seem to forget that the devs are extremely incompetent and can’t even fix bipod mounting correctly for 2 years.
Also in the whole lifespan of the game, the devs did not add a single type of MM ever. Do you really expect the devs to successfully pull this off now?
The MM will fail and we’ll be seeing Tiger IIs vs T-60s frequently. At least before at most it would be a PZ IV F1 vs a T-60 or a T-35-85 vs a Tiger II at max, but now it will be completely broken.
I agree with Keofox, complicating the MM will be bad not good because it’s complicated, but because the devs are completely incompetent and incapable I don’t even believe the “simple” MM they’re coming up with will work properly at all.
I’m completely against this new update in every way. The tech tree is a good idea, but it’s being executed poorly.
The main problem with the devs proposed new system IMO is that it still doesn’t fix the number 1 problem with the current system, which is all of the split queues.
Tech tree is great. I’m fine with not being able to choose my campaign or map. But if they implement a weapon rating system it will still just split queues.
The current system needs to go, but why implement a new system if it just does the same thing as the previous system just in a different way.
Yeah you’re right I never seen it that way, the queue is still split up, and unless they simply think , , and is the only way they differentiate equipment, then we either get 3 queues and still no balance, or many more queues which means less players and the queues will fail and we’ll have mixed games of T-60 vs Tiger II
i don’t agree with matchmaker, but you have to give the devs credit for trying. Matchmaker and merging campaigns are frequently demanded, they are trying to listen to their players. I’m impressed they still try to listen the community when no one in it can even agree with each other on anything enough to resemble an actual highly agreed on opinion.
Yep the devs have some serious decisions to make for the future of the game, and I do not envy their position. No matter what they do, a decent sized part of the player base is going to be upset.
The devs have a track record for doing nothing correctly. The current versions “matchfinder” would put me in games full of bots, I’m sure if it cant pair me with any players, high gear people will spill into low lever gear matches.
Since the campaign are merged they will be more player in the same MM.
In the current system they will put you into a bot match if they can’t find people to join.
But now you have players from multiple campaign it will be easier to put people together to join a match.
At this point i just dont care about historicity anymore,i just dont want to lose multiple same class squads but seems likely they will diminish every one of them to “smg squad 1-2-3” for every faction
If they fix bipod mounting in the next 7 days will you change your opinion? I doubt it.
Engineering teams need to work to priorities. I can’t say what this teams’ priorities have been but can guess that they weighed that bipod mounting wasn’t the most important thing (for revenue - which is all that matters).
Regardless this game is still being worked on and they will continue to work on this new system and we will see how it is tweaked or changes as time goes on
I missed that post. I’m stunned that anyone would prefer Normandy with bots over ANY map with people. To each his own I guess. I’d prefer to end up mid pack in a hard fought match with people than to dominate some bots.
They tried.
Actually they already tried to merge equipments, that’s called weapon transfers.
They even said you dont need to researched to use them in new campaign.
But again, they only bring us a useless version of weapon transfer. They “reinterpret” the “research” words letting most of forum misunderstand and let down.
Because of being too greedy.
