Expanded Artillery and tactical considerations

This came out of another post from command wheel but the artillery map… more markings on the artillery map not just strike area but providing coordinates for requested operations or actions

For instance areas NOT to be bombed or hit
Calling in request for mortar strikes
callling in request for bombing of building
request for suppressive fire in area
request for reinforcement

areas to avoid

suspected areas of enemy positioning

targets for occupation / blocking

etc…

the original thought was
“The ability to put in request for strike… or future strike area by someone with radio — actually marking a requested attack zone that is not active but might be active in the future would be useful perhaps in yellow or green. Or an area that is requested not to be hit perhaps in green or blue etc… or movement rally or hold zones in different colors like request for reinforcements to area etc… or an area to avoid due to caution etc… elevation contours on the map could be useful too.”

Although I would like to see more tactical aspects and overall like such idea, you must take into consideration that right now most players seem to have problem with simply pressing one button to mark enemies. First they should learn to do that before introducing more complex mechanics.

More indicators to put down are great.

Just that I don’t see anyone actually using the feature. We already have the ability to make targets via minimap, but it’s only ever used by mortar crews, and very rarely used to mark targets for other team members.

The fear of low-IQ shitters not using a mechanic is no good reason to not have it for those of us who want to expand gameplay possibilities.
