Enlisted has a great community that make a load of awesome inspired content for the general player base, stuff like: excellent custom hangers, great custom maps, beautiful screenshots, amazing mods and interesting videos. The problem is that only a small amount of these creations can actually be enjoyed by a portion of the player base. So it would be cool if an “Enlisted Community Day(Week)(Month)” was implemented to bring community creations to the wider player base and celebrate the creators that made them.
What would a “Enlisted Community Day” look like?
“Enlisted Community Day” would be an event that would take place both on the website and in game over the course of a few days. On the website the player base will be voting for what community creators to give some sort of title (and small prize) to, the player base will also be voting on what community creations are the best of that year, again for a title and small prize going for the creator. In game the event would be a series of community focused challenges with special limited time rewards.
Voting for Creators:
Voting on the content creators would take place on the website during the event, it would be for different categories of creator like; Video creator/Streamer, Mod Maker, Map maker, etcetera. the voting would be based on a list of creators for each chosen creator category, these lists would be curated by the Enlisted team. The voting would be to determine who is the best creator in their specific field for that year and would come with a small prize.
Prizes For Winning Creators:
The prizes for the winning creators are up to the determination of the enlisted team, as I have no idea what they would deem to be a good prize. I will however provide some ideas on what the prizes could look like. First off a title for the forums and a nickname decorator for in-game would be a great prize especially for bragging rights. Enlisted Gold would also be a fair prize, with an amount determined by the enlisted team. A specialty portrait with something to do with press cores of WWII would also be very cool to give to winning players.
Voting For Creations:
Voting for creations would take place on the website right before the event, it would be for two different categories of creation: custom player hangers and screenshots. the voting would be based on a list of creations for each chosen creation category, these lists would be curated by the Enlisted team. The voting would be to determine what is the best creation in its specific field for that year and would come with a small prize for its creator.
Prizes For Winning Creation:
The prizes for the winning creations would be the same as that of the creators with one major difference: the winning custom hanger and screenshot would be “published” to the game.
What is Publishing?
Published Creations would be added to the game as the “Enlisted Community Day” main event reward. After a player unlocks a published community hanger they will have the option to replace their current default hanger with the new community hanger in the player profile tab. This addition would allow both non-tech savvy and console players to use custom hangers in game. When the winning screenshot is “published” it will be added to the pre-match loading screen pool for everyone to see.
In Game Event:
The in-game event will mostly look like any other enlisted event; complete challenges and win prizes. The challenges should have a community twist like: Build rally points, or play games with a squad. The rewards for the event are also up to the determination of the enlisted team but the main prize should be the published custom hangers.
Overall I think that Enlisted needs an event that celebrates the community and that gives exposure to the work of creators. The event doesn’t have to follow the plan laid out above either, any event would be cool so long as it has a community focus.
