Similar to the “even fight” event that put the USSR against the Japanese in the pacific islands, another fun hypothetical event idea could be “Operation Unthinkable”. This was a contingency plan developed by the United States and Britain to invade and attack the Soviet Union on July 1st, 1945 after Germany’s surrender. Because this was before Japan’s surrender, one of the concerns is that the USSR may have allied with Japan following a surprise attack from the Western allies.
This event would be composed of pre-made squads putting the USA faction against the USSR faction in the Berlin campaign maps, with the possibility of including Normandy or Moscow maps with the idea that one faction pushed the other back throughout Europe. The squads should mostly be around BR4 in terms of equipment with some BR5 additions such as M2 carbines and drum PPSh-41s but for the most part soldiers should be relegated to semi auto rifles
This event creates a highly intriguing scenario where two factions who would normally never fight each other would have a chance to compare how their equipment holds up against the other.
